They were right. Why? ...

In a way if we did fund it better, to the teacher and professor level not to the administrators, maybe it wouldn't have been lost. Many teachers are good, of course, but with higher pay and more social value maybe it would attract actual professionals in fields and more motivated teachers? And eliminate the fat and administrative and purely political things like their unions. Now you have several generations who have grown up thinking America is bad, capitalism is bad, white people are bad, there are no moral values, revisionist history, Western Canon is bad, learn less math and science but focus on gender bending and ethnic studies- because that will help us compete against the world and help those children find a viable job in the marketplace as adults!

And we should've been more wary of Big Tech and allowing them to get so much control. Though, I guess, it is debatable at this point if they are run by Alphabet agencies or if companies like Alphabet and Amazon are in a way running them now or if they are now one in the same, considering they handle much of their data, comms, satellites, budgets, surveillance, and so on.

I blame fat.  You have great swathes of country where the steady accumulation of pounds and pounds of blubber is accepted unthinkingly as the normal process of aging, and any deviations from this norm, established now for generations, are immediately suspect, single out, and shamed.  As I have pointed out before, obesity is really a failure of discrimination, shoveling plate after plate of low-quality cheaply produced slop in your cakehole without pausing to consider whether it is, in absolute terms, the best thing you could be eating, or whether the price, in terms of the ugly distortion of your corpus and physiognomy, is worth the all-too-temporary satiety.  This is psychology at its most basic and personal level and, once you have corrupted the very bowels of the organism, rendering it subject  to painful bouts of heartburn, explosive and traumatic evacuations, and the ravening morning cravings of a stretched-out-but-empty stomach, and force it to subsist in a vile miasma of its own stinking flatulence, you can hardly be surprised when the finer points of political philosophy or appreciation of a nation's history and culture are beyond its grasp -- it can think only of stuffed-crust pizza.  There is a good reason why our forefathers produced such lucid and elegant prose, scribbling away late into the night as hunger gnawed at their bellies, as fasting sharpens the concentration wonderfully.

Well... Apparently that is just if you want to be "verified." I don't- so I did download it. Of course, it is not even a regular APK- it is a xapk. And my new phone is from China- so I had to look up how to use developer options and disable some additional Chinese features.

But it's done now. Just in time for the outage starting tomorrow. (I don't know if it has been posted yet. But Google took them out of the play store. Apple took them out. And now Amazon has decided to pull their service on their servers which is expected to crash the site for a week while they rebuild... But I'm sure it is all innocent.)

Yes bateman says we should be on gab instead, as it has its own servers, and maybe that is true.  I did sign up for gab back when MV promoted it years ago but nobody was saying anything interesting.  It was mostly a lot of heavy breathing and I could feel myself getting fatter just by using the platform.
