WTF.  Cebu?  Back in 84-86, we thought the monkeys in Luzon (Cubi Point) throwing mangoes were annoying.  Now they have giant fruit bats?  I can't imagine what the Asian cobras or alligators ("chicken lizards") or Banana Spiders have "morphed" into.

I was stationed at NRTF Capas Tarlac, 20 miles North of Clark AFB (Angeles)

You know... I feel better now. It was sort of like when somebody explained that the garden in the chaz was just a larp. I was taken aback that somebody would actually believe that a few plants was going to feed the protesters. Same people, different signs. I was worried that I was actually supposed to believe that they were out there for BLM. Now, I'm sure that there are some who honestly believe in the cause. Just so long as I'm not expected to believe that the majority of them are there for that reason. Now I'm free from having to try to make sense of it and can just smile.

I don't get it.

Some sort of group blocks an Interstate.  I don't get why. The State Police apparently don't immediately cart them all off to jail and open the road.   I don't get why.  Instead the State Police block the Freeway thus encouraging the activity.  I don't get why.  Then some other idiot circumnavigates the blockade to get on the Freeway.  I don't get why.  Then as the fools are prancing around on an Interstate at night in dark clothes leading to the inevitable tragedy there is shock and anger,   I don't get why.  What did they expect would happen?

I don't get it.

I think they should sue the police for failing to provide adequate protection for their midnight interstate tea party. If the cops would not have been so cheap, and spent a little more of their well funded budget, they could have provided an extra couple of vehicles and officers to block all of the off ramps to provide more security for the protesters.
