Yes they have their own medics.  Did you catch the giant lesbian with a mohawk who comes barreling out of there about 3:30?  I'd want her on my security detail, for sure.
For sure, at first I thought Mr.T had pulled a Bruce Jenner!! There are some fine specimens in the CHOP zone. And apparently tourists of sorts also? Or at least people who look like they aren't going to live there or spend the night but come down to check out the scene. I guess you can freely move into/out of CHOP (unless you are police?)

Yes you can go in and out, walk the dog, whatever -- most of the people down there during the day are doing what is now called social-justice tourism.  The bars and restaurants that are open are enjoying it, for the most part, with one taco place (of course) crediting it for saving his business after the lockdown.

The shooting might change things, of course.  Initial interpretation was "rules of the street" (just people fighting, as they do) but now it's an outsider in a black SUV who could get close thanks to the access the city negotiated.

I like a good taco but the chains, generally, aren't the place to go. Over-priced. Mexican food should be cheap as the ingredients are cheap. ...
Plus, the best Tex-Mex is found at the family run joints.

Agreed...though I loathe Google..the reviews of restaurants are an average of reviews from real people...they are generally accurate...when traveling, they serve me more well than ill.

Yes we have discovered not-chain tacos which are now the thing, though tamales are making a play for it.  One of the biggest success stories to come out of the lockdown was a city-wide tamale-delivery service.  They would also deliver flowers from the Pike Place Market flower venders who were otherwise put out of business.

Is that the big fish market across from the Aquarium?  I would have thought that bastard would have been torched the first night.
How can that symbol of racism and aquatic oppression be allowed to still stand?

Yes, the fish-throwing place where the poor creatures' carcasses are ritually abused for public amusement!

Have they peacefully burned that place down too?

Hey. Fish Markets are ok. In fact in Norway (and Holland) sometimes funny used as point of reference when asking directions. In Thr Netherlands flower markets also reference points. I recall Bergen especially the fish market prominent.

Don't worry about fish or flower markets....worry about markets that sell odd creatures like  pangolines and live bat soup.

Omari says the Chop folks have yet to issue an expected statement, the victim's family is blaming Chop for the delay in getting police-escorted fire-department medics through, and that the word on the street is the victim and the shooter knew each other.  Also that some of the neighbors are getting restless and complain about the loud music late at night and other HOA issues.

So probably not some outside right-wing nut they can blame.

Thr Jacobin stuff will happen soon. You pit CHOP HOA against CHAZ Condo Assc? Talk about CHOP-CHOP. I'm suspect of this revolution if HOAs were adopted so quickly. But I guess they need the dues...

So after the Police are defunded, deactivated and abolished who will deal with the occasional bags of meat that turn up?
Just let the Rubbish men deal with and scurve them into the land fill or what?

I wondered if that was some would-be Robespierre.

I mean really Chef, doesn't it sound like Seattle has descended into some sort of dystopian hell?  Brain dead Mayor, City Council letting a mob into the offices and shitting everywhere.  A sizable hunk of the city being held hostage, murders, parking tickets not being paid and according to that guy in that one video, armies of "sissies" breaking down doors and corn holing anything on two or four legs.  I guess bags of dead dudes being dumped at the beach is just kind of like a cherry on top, eh?

CHOP-CHOP. Having said that Chinese Triad "snakehead" smugglers and various serial killers had resulted in bodyparts up there and weird stuff about shoes feet showing up for years.

I did appreciate her pun. I had thought a typical affirmative action hire but the reporter had some satrical 'chops.' Police trying to "piece" together. Wow.

This is from a block away you can't really see anything but it appears to have been a protracted confrontation.  I don't like the mask he wears at first but notice when things get serious he puts on a black koofiyeh, so some definite riot style points there.

Maybe some kind of LED light?  But yeah a hat crab would be pretty cool now I want one.

Black Jesus shows up later with a giant knife talking peace and love it's pretty awesome.

I'll have to look for God's only son then.   I'm digging the hat crab thing myself.  I'm thinking if you dunked it in a tub of polyurethane it would take care of the odor.  Not sure about the fragility problem though.................

Some kind of resin, maybe?

Also interesting 39:10 where it sounds like one of the retreating officers says "Chaz got its first homicide" in a tone that sounds decidedly sardonic to me.

And by 42:00 he's picking up a sorrowful chick hahaha

Lots of Taco places so they might know about how Meskins do that funny varnished frog deal. Funny stuff. Set up playing pool, riding horses, over poker, golfing, etc. Used to be a funny trip buy back when it was safe for Gringos on trips. They blow up frogs, set in positiions, and varish. They last for years, so far.

Well I recall something about 'back with a sword.' Could be bad translation. "Black" with sword. And, likely, according to BLM he was black. Oh, wait that was the  Pharoahs? Both?  All? Confusing. Need to call in to Ian to get latest spin and social justice sermon.

Asuka Langley

I got to give it BLM, they are doing jobs that white people wont do. I am going to donate some ammo to BLM to help out. #BLM
