Sure, lots of people here feel that ad hominem is an effective response once I’ve defeated them with facts and reason. It’s not. :D

It's not an ad hominem to call you a stupid cunt. It's a mere statement of fact. You wouldn't want me to tell a lie, I'm sure.

These are never easy times, but I just remind myself that we're the most beloved nation on Earth and it helps me cope.

Now that is funny! ;D

WAN, when I have to explain the jokes they’re just not as funny.  ;)

But that is scary, BTW. Why doesn’t she just lay claim to all the wild animals of Great Britain? They’re probably on her land anyway.

I think they ate all the other wild animals Doc. Swans are all that's left.  :'(

Why would you change now? Par for the course with weasely socialist Brits.

You’re true hatred of me could never be veiled, you pathetic weakling.

Oh he could have lived to a ripe old age
With a catamite prepared to treat him like a sage
But his craven fear of a muscled rear
Means instead of love's ambrosia, he must drink beer.
So he settles back for his nightly fight
Hoping beating up on idiots will set things right.
Doomed to brawl is he, for it's plain to see
That his love, and boon companion, is MDMD!

All: THAT HIS LOVE AND BOON COMPANION IS MDMD!

You're too insignificant to bother with, poppet. Nobody hates you, but everyone is terribly bored with your limp shtick.

The spin down here is saying that Paxton did this even though it will likely fail because he is seeking a pardon for the 'legal issues' he and some others are currently having. They point out that the Solicitor General and no other government attorneys joined him, or made, the suit. Normally it is the Solicitor General who files lawsuits, but this talk also doesn't mention that this position is relatively recent, post-2000s when the Solicitor General position was created. So historically it was the AG who filed and also defended suits. Also since the pending charges are State and SEC regulatory and I don't think the President has pardon powers for those, if he is convicted.

Having that said I hope the suits work.

I don't recall being the one doing the moral posturing. Don't forget that the Jews got their own country because of us and then showed their gratitude by killing as many of us as possible.

We weren't exactly flush with cash back then either. In fact we were broke thanks to the Americans, who cleared out all our gold reserves before selling us some lousy old destroyers.

I see... So your argument boils down to "we could not possibly have afforded to provide any Jews sanctuary without a large amount of cash because we were too broke?" That is seriously the platform you wish to use for not providing a safe place to Jews who ended up used as slave labour and gassed?

I mean, at least I'm willing to admit that Canada just did not want them and that there really was a pretty high portion of the public who did not like Jews and did not care what happened in Europe. But your argument for England not taking them centers around "financial constraints?"

And then you were generous enough to give away other people's land as a "mea culpa" providing decades of war and tensions in the middle east? And that is your moral contribution?

We let the Huguenots in after the Bartholomew's Day Massacre FFS! It's never enough for some people. And we didn't know what was going to happen to them then, we just thought Hitler was a bit of a wanker. We still let more in than you did so, respectfully, bite me.

As I said before, we gave them a place to live and they turn round and start blowing shit up. That's on them.

Being so harsh on the Catholics, some royals, and various non-English I never got why it was Cromwell who let the Joose back in. Was it simply for their financial acumen? True belief in some kind of Christian charity? True belief in that this would allow saving them and converting them to Christianity? Or one of those weird "Jerusalem in these hills" British-Israelism deal? Or was the whole revolution a Joo plot and Cromwell was there agent.  ;)

I was hoping to write the libretto for doc's Broadway play but I don't think he wants me any more   :(

That project got shelved. I pitched Jack and his GF my latest idea for a sitcom but I think things are still strained between so it might not happen either. :(

Anyway, should the musical have come to fruition I was planning on hiring you as my lyricist on the condition that you not gay it up too much. You know, sort of a Tony Asher/Brian Wilson type thing. ;)

No muscled rears, then?  I was really embarrassed about that one.

Look, a little gay would’ve been OK. It was to be a Broadway musical after all but I wanted to be a timeless love story that would appeal to everyone. Sigh, and then stupid Jackstar and his stupid GF had to go breakup. :'(

That was too bad.  I was really looking forward to writing an Indian-themed romance between the fair princess Heiniehaha and the ruggedly handsome, though culturally ambiguous, Highawasicu.
