They were really pissed off after spinning the narrative that the guy was a white supremacist ala Charlottesville- only to find out the driver was black.

That is very inconvenient.

I keep saying that poor Charlie Manson would be happy with the trajectory of this world...  ;)

Here is the rumored 20,000-strong biker rally that threatened to materialize yesterday to deal with the Chop.

https://twitter.com/Omarisal/status/1279501218625105921

They displayed their regrettable style choices and lumpish physiques, argued with a small crowd of locals and squirted  some bear spray around.  One group left in an Uber, which was smart; the ones who parked nearby had their tires slashed.

Gettysburg had a better turnout, of what looked like the same people:  https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/hundreds-of-armed-men-went-to-gettysburg-to-defend-it-from-a-phantom-antifa-flag-burner-created-on-social-media/2020/07/04/206ee4da-bb05-11ea-86d5-3b9b3863273b_story.html

It is a thing, trolling picked up and amplified by the kind of media you guys consume: https://apnews.com/583432c84feb1d26ea919c0e2f0de54a

I don't know what's going on in the rest of the country but Chop was trolled from the other side, with white supremacists spotted lurking in the shrubbery and kidnapping trans women late at night in a white van.  For the kind of agitators behind Chop it was just a way to get larger crowds of normal folks who wouldn't normally show up at a violent protest to believe they were facing an imminent threat, a shadowy coordinated boogeyman in the dark.

It is just trolling and its victims are idiots but it is effective:  I don't suppose there were more than 100 or so people behind Chop in an organized sense, who did anything other than marching and shouting, which we like to do here anyway.  That's maybe the size of a decent wedding party but they managed to captivate a major city for weeks.

You know... I feel better now. It was sort of like when somebody explained that the garden in the chaz was just a larp. I was taken aback that somebody would actually believe that a few plants was going to feed the protesters. When you tell me it is just some kid wanting to "play" farmer, I no longer have to try applying logic.

Same people, different signs. I was worried that I was actually supposed to believe that they were out there for BLM. Now, I'm sure that there are some who honestly believe in the cause. Just so long as I'm not expected to believe that the majority of them are there for that reason. Now I'm free from having to try to make sense of it and can just smile.

Well the garden is symbolic and thus inherently irrational, but no less powerful for that.  Consider that, now that Chop has all but vanished, the garden is the one thing nearly everyone agrees should be preserved, along with our BLM street mural (which is prettier than any other city's!).

The garden should not be preserved.  All gardens should be paved over and destroyed.  They are after all deeply racist with roots tied to colonialism.  That garden abomination needs to go immediately.  It is deeply hurtful.  Don't you know nothing?

Fuck these assholes.  "Where are my repartions?"  I'll take a mortgage out on my house for 10 grand.  Buy him a one way ticket anywhere he wants to go in the World, with the 10 grand.  Might I suggest Ghana, which has an open door policy for the return of Blacks.

Joggers in that video were carrying guns without any sights on them and some of them were confirmed for airsoft guns lol. And there is a clip of these panthers saying BLM were retards, who knows.

The BLM and Antifada likely smell worse than the Corpse Flower that always makes news when it flowers at any conservatory. RCH would also not like BLM/Antifada taking down Kew Gardens- at least the glass domes.

"Many of the 170 or so species of Amorphophallus produce a variety of obnoxious odours ranging from rotting meat, dung and rancid cheese to a nauseating gaseous stench."

We have had a couple in bloom in the past few years.  I can never seem to catch them when they are really stinky, just mildly unpleasant and no worse than the skunk cabbage which grows everywhere here.  The scientific name of the most famous example, Amorphophallus titanum, means "giant shapeless penis" of course.

The Oriental lady looks nervous, yet, curious. And what is with the rebar? It can't get it up? Also in these days of BLM/Antifada having some random rebar around in a glass house built by white people is not a wise idea. But seriously it is a weird phenomena that people line up and want to smell such a thing when it blooms in various gardens and it always a big event.

Another Columbus downed. This time torn down and thrown into Baltimore Harbor, which used to be a somewhat nice place with the aquarium and stuff but now a danger zone of feral "youths" even in the non-protest times.

The rebar appears to be supporting those I guess they are instruments of some kind?  Affixed with some tech binder clips.

I wonder where the Italian mob is protecting their guy.  They even come out here on Columbus day to drink wine and play bocce in their track suits.  I have been -- I know the accordion-player hahaha

I've wondered that myself. I'm not up on the demographics of Baltimore but I think the "youths" have driven most of the Italian community to greener pastures. I heard somewhere in NY and NJ that Columbus statues were being 'protected.'

This world needs more accordion, especially in these troubled times. Instead of insipid piano backgrounds to every commercial telling me that carpet cleaning businesses and insurance companies are "all in with us together in these troubled times."

* it could be that they bought into the 'theory" that Columbus was actually a crytpo-jew doing service to Royalty and so they no longer protect him?
