Portland is basically Portland because all the people who couldn't handle someone like Me being allowed to exist in peace, slowly and inexorably kept on moving south, just to get farther away from my aegis--whether they were aware of it or not.

Basically Portland is a lot of self-important dipshits who lack both self-awareness as well as appropriate and reasonable study habits. At least, I assume it is now, as it was about halfway there when I was there last, which was about twenty-five years ago, when my sensei shared the secret activation technology beneath common notice within the I Ching.

Hey, GS--can I use that tech to find out what your problem with me is? I mean, I've asked--openly--and I've wondered--mildly--and I've considered calling up John Edwards and asking him why, but I already know what he'd say.
