The hand scrawled "CHOP" on plywood look really classes the place up.

I seem to be the only one who does not really care. And probably not for the reason you might think.

The fact is that there are murders in Seattle. It happens. This time it happened in the "occupied zone." I'm sure that if a murder occurs in capital hill under normal circumstances, it would usually have been taken very seriously as it is a upscale neighbourhood. I'm sure it would be investigated and resources really put into it.

However, if it were to occur where it normally would (likely lower income), I'm sure the police would show up, tape off the area, and make a little display that they cared deeply. And then nothing.

All that this likely was is geographically relocating a murder that would have occurred regaurdless. So, "meh." It does not mean that there is no law, nor does it indicate that a murder would not have happened if it were not for "chop."

(((someone))) is really pushing for a race war, OY VEY!

This would not be allowed on youtube if it was racist against blacks but whites aren't people so...

Yes we have discovered not-chain tacos which are now the thing, though tamales are making a play for it.  One of the biggest success stories to come out of the lockdown was a city-wide tamale-delivery service.  They would also deliver flowers from the Pike Place Market flower venders who were otherwise put out of business.

Best taco ever was in south central around 12 years ago. It was a few blocks off the major highway in a parking lot immediately beside some apartments that were obviously housing projects. It was around 11:00 or midnight and came with a coke in a glass bottle imported from Mexico.

While I would not call it "cheap"- it was absolutely massive and priced good for it's size. No, I would not be able to find it again even if I tried.

I thought you were joking. Then I watched the trailer. Then I figured it was just a joke. I know it says coming soon and available on itunes. But it must be a joke. So I looked around, and it appears that it really is a series set to be released right before the election.

They should release it now while racial tension is high. According to an article that I could find, it is supposed to get people to re-think their support of Trump just before the election. I would say it will likely get a larger number of them voting for Trump.

I've said it before. Poor Charlie Manson died a few years too soon.

*You are correct about it being on youtube. Pretty surprising that a google "do no harm" company is promoting it.

...the word on the street is the victim and the shooter knew each other...

"That's usually the case."

Also that some of the neighbors are getting restless and complain about the loud music late at night and other HOA issues.

Ha!  Call placed to Cynthia.

So after the Police are defunded, deactivated and abolished who will deal with the occasional bags of meat that turn up?
Just let the Rubbish men deal with and scurve them into the land fill or what?

Dayum.  Another increase in the CHOP garbage collection fee.

This sounds right to me.  I was listening to one of the medics who treated the victim and he cited "the celebration that is an intrinsic part of Juneteenth" as the context for the murder, so there is precious little political hay to be made and the politicians seem to have lost interest.

I am all for new holidays, especially those with established baking traditions I can pilfer, and, though Juneteenth falls perilously close to Sankthans with its usual berries and bløtkake, I might make a space for the suggested teacakes (which can't be all that old since they are chemically leavened) and Red Velvet Cake, which is always nice.

Mmmmmmm... Red Velvet Cake.  If I was on that mind numbing Bella-Haven thread, I'd obsequiously ask for a taste.

I really miss your baking thread w/Roswells, Art. I wish people would STOP chasing off funny and good-hearted people here that may have differing political or other contrary views w/those that dominate here. I thought she was funny and had interesting viewpoints worth offering.

I've really enjoyed your banter w/Shreddie too, and I hope he won't be pushed-off here because of his criticisms of Trump, Americans, etc. He's VERY entertaining w/you and others!

If I was on that nausea-inducing fake tea-party of a thread I would, without so much as cracking an egg, post a picture of someone else's and you could pretend you ate it, too!  Wouldn't that be swell?

This is just a more intense and more organized BLM/Rioting mass murdering REPEAT of the lead-up to the 2016 Election, so Manson lived to see it already.

I don't like her she's mean!  When I said I liked long hair she told everyone I wanted to cut off Mr. Winkie!  I'm very fond of Mr. Winkie.

Roswells, Art is impressive.  Even her infrequent drive-by's can impart lasting psychological trauma.

So why doesn't Babe get a mask as well?   #BLUELIVESMATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the most flagrant example of gender-appropriate policing behavior I have ever encountered, breathtaking in its scope, damning not only me but every kid who ever had long hair for whatever reason!  It is what I have always suspected:  lurking in that bosom is a priggish schoolmarm with a rolling pin in one hand and clippers in the other.

Apparently, if the real RA tried that the car would tip over. :D

I would like to create a Raz meme. It would state "In the Chaz- Raz'll Dazzle You." I don't know if it would be over a picture of Raz, or if it would need to be over Gere so that younger people on twitter might stand a fighting chance of getting the reference...

Speaking of, at least she made Lee laugh with her "fire delivery" observation.
