Just takes a hot spot like in Italy or Korea to pop up and you've got one hell of a problem.  Interesting that they gave Pence something meaningful to do.  Guess the idea is that he can knock down the lead if it blows up and if it goes well, it's a feather in his Race Bannon cap for the future.  Also scary that the report cited found the US as well prepared as any one and the lab in Fort Dietrick is closed due to safety issues.

Again, not sure what you mean by that. I thought he was at least guilty of underplaying it statistically. He equated it with the flu, of which the worldwide incidence is something like .01% whereas I believe this is already around 2%.

It is called being an executive. You delegate and get others with more specific expertise to handle the details. It is a waste of time, and usually is less effective, for the head of any organization to do otherwise- especially.in a world of increasing complexity, interconnectivity, and velocity.

Mean while, I've burned through a good hunk of my preps - most of the Hamm's and Planter's are gone. I went to the range to the range today for the first time in forever and burned through a bunch of ammo.

Italy in the meantime is fucked, my sister is in Tenerife on holiday - nowhere near the hotel that is under lockdown luckily, but I am half expecting her to not get back on Friday because of flights from Tenerife being blocked. She has organised to go into self isolation potentially as she cares for vulnerable/special needs adults and doesn’t want to potentially compromise their already unsteady health.

Oh I hear you there.  I go through a lot milk so got some stable milk for the lucky charms just in case I can't get fresh.  Same deal with the eggs.  Mrs. Walks has some relations that were locked down for many days and they got caught on the hop and were eating gruel there for awhile.  Don't want any of that.

Because then it ends up like the stuff you buy in for christmas, but then start to nibble on beforehand...
