My apologies. I suppose communist includes some political views that my not hold true. But that man has not seen a scheme to spend money that he has not backed / loved. Pure, unadulterated socialist might have been more accurate.

And if you honestly think that he will beat Trump in an election, you are delusional (this coming from somebody who still dislikes the guy.) He will simply point to the economy and casually mention that Bernie stands for everything that he does not. But by all means- watch them throw away another election.

*Do you wonder why Trump of all people congratulated him? Do you think he would have done the same for the other candidates- or attacked them? Like I said, I think he probably creamed his shorts watching the results.

Trump admires Sanders because he has a movement and followers. He said so himself.. which Trump also has.. Some easily call Trump a "fascist" which I don't , the way some label Bernie a "commie"  Neither is true..  but we agree to disagree.. I don't expect to change any minds here. . best wishes to you  :)

With identity politics you can redefine anything and say it’s that. However, it doesn’t make so. A rose by any other name.

And what, pray tell, is your problem with president Trump? ???

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee described President Trump as a doctor who sometimes has a gruff bedside manner.

“Donald Trump is kind of like a doctor who sometimes has a rather gruff bedside manner. Nobody’s going to argue that point. He can be crude and he can come across sometimes less than people think."

“But by golly the patient is alive and I’d rather have this president, who gets things done, then one who comes in, he’s nice and he’s polite and he smiles, but my family member dies in the hospital bed,” he continued.

“America needs to say two words to Donald Trump, thank you,” he added.

It’s hard to argue with success. Of course, leftist ideologues will try though. They’ll never stop.

Trump is really like a "trump" in a card game. It is amazing. He confounds the media and their Party. Even he confounds and surprises many a Republican. He also is like the Don Rickles of politics, which is awesome! Can use one liners, feigned praise, nicknaming, and eye-rolls to great effect!  Many don't like this- I admit I was suspect- , sometimes still- , of some of his NYC n Hollywood connections, style, and associates and lack of securing the border but even so: better than the other choices and lots of other stuff done well! Epic trolling praising the Communist for his victory and causing their Democrat media and Party to tear up each other even more. Classic.

I give up sometimes but just laugh, ignore, etc. Still love them or be polite- if family, friends, or neighbors- but the full-on Democrat type is a lost cause.  Politics has replaced religion for them and due to feed-back loops in their media, friends, and social media it is unlikely to be broken. In some sad cases they will even excuse rape, crime, etc because the 'learned helplessness,' 'Stockholm Syndrome,' or whatever is so strong. Very strange, and sick, and so we should have sympathy.
It is interesting to see even how $$ and/or educated folks deal with the the incongruity between leftist, open-borders, migrations, and poo in the street, art getting slashed, girls getting raped, cities going broke, riots attacking them, homeless everywhere (even nearer and nearer to their neighborhoods, estates, and gated communities) etc.

More akin to Huckabee’s doctor metaphor he’s like the ultra sarcastic House. Brilliant analysis but the gloves are off when it comes to dialectics.

I gave up trying to reason with true leftists.  Maybe someday, some wake-up to reality.  In the meantime, they can only be defeated.

True attended a wedding recently and so folks from all over. So was fun to see. Certain folks had to mention Trump in every conversation. Couldn't even have fun at dinner, reception, etc. It is amazing how much he is in their head. They have replaced religion, creed, or belief with politics and Trump is the devil. Amazing. I made a point sometimes if it got out of hand, jokingly, being my usually politically incorrect but self-effacing and polite self. Play the rube but then get them in the details. Which they often will change subject and "let it go," as some Hollywood movie the little kids love says. Things like flying to a wedding and not even in coach? Having nannies? What happens to a Tesla crashes and how battery materials are sourced? Homeless situation? Guns are bad but why is there armed security here at the reception? And cops are bad but he is here, armed, and off-duty moon-lighting because we don't pay them enough? Investments and real estate holdings "a shame so much land, I wonder how many migrants could camp here, and those poor homeless..." And so on... it is fun.

They are really worried about Bernie. Their Yahoo news had this article which is actually really interesting and worth a read. Admire the ex-con who found a scam and productivity and amazing that their media is admitting the traditional Democrat strategy which is likely why the DNC is so set against Bernie and will try to undermine him again because Bernie the millionaire "socialist" with vacation homes etc is using the same strategy against them!  Epic! You play with identity politics and commie themes and, like matches, you might burn down your house or, at least, get burned.

Fair enough. The only issue that I take is that I don't believe that Trump admires anybody but Trump. He is making the first moves in his game- and if Sanders actually falls for it (believes that Trump has any respect for him) then he probably needs a reality check.

Biden Claims He Was Arrested Back in the '70s Trying To Visit Nelson Mandela
- But No One Remembers It [/i]

Former vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden is now bizarrely claiming he was arrested with the UN ambassador trying to visit Nelson Mandela in South Africa back in the ‘70s.

There’s just one problem: the UN ambassador at the time said he doesn’t recall ever being arrested with Biden â€" and neither does anyone else.

“This day, 30 years ago, Nelson Mandela walked out of prison and entered into discussions about apartheid,” Biden said at an event in South Carolina last week, repeating a story he's told at least three times on the campaign trail. “I had the great honor of meeting him. I had the great honor of being arrested with our U.N. ambassador on the streets of Soweto trying to get to see him on Robbens Island.”

But according to the New York Times, Biden’s never mentioned this alleged arrest, which you’d think would be a pretty prominent story in his record, before:

But if Mr. Biden, then a United States senator from Delaware, was in fact arrested while trying to visit Mr. Mandela, he did not mention it in his 2007 memoir when writing about a 1970s trip to South Africa, and he has not spoken of it prominently on the 2020 campaign trail. A check of available news accounts by The New York Times turned up no references to an arrest. South African arrest records are not readily available in the United States.

On top of that, Andrew Young, who was the UN ambassador at the time, said he was never arrested, and, to his knowledge, neither was Biden.

“No, I was never arrested and I don’t think he was, either,” Young said in a phone interview with the NYT. “Now, people were being arrested in Washington. I don’t think there was ever a situation where congressmen were arrested in South Africa.”

While the NYT never outright denied that Biden's account could be true, the lack of any record of his alleged arrest, the fact that he'd failed to mention it ever before, and Young's denial of the account throw some serious shadows onto a campaign already riddled with strange tales, gaffes, and repeated lapses in memory.

I think he admires some people. But certainly a mirror is nice for him. And it is crazy that people-especially supposedly educated- in the media and political "elite" don't understand his game, style, and negotiation tactics- for good or ill. It drives me, almost, insane with laughter. But a sign of the times or the gesalt, to not over use zeitgeist., which aren't, properly the same idea but sorta. It is a nice time to be alive, virus-willing.  ;)

That is nuts. Even Republican wife divorced turned Democrat news then spun off for personal profit reports this? And the NYTimes? Wow. Thanks for mentioning. I missed this. He is off his rocker but Biden is always fun with stories and the Democrats and their media are very scared of Commie Bernie.

One Joe Biden is running for Senate and another, apparently, running for the Presidency. You can also vote for the "other Biden" if you look the other one over first.   :o
