The Paranormal And Political

I visit the Anomalist web site each day in order read the latest news about bizarre and/or paranormal events and people. The writers, who seem to assume that we share their views, sometime inject cheap political shots into their stories. They're snarky asides that are akin to "the ETs won't ask to be taken to our incompetent leader, sadly" (I made that up). Is this interjection, of writers' political beliefs, into stories an acceptable practice for a web site that caters to readers with varied political beliefs?

Welcome to Marxist clown world, where all retreats and comforts are subverted and polluted. They've poisoned cinema, television, publishing, video gaming, tabletop gaming, and the paranormal.

It's enough to make me miss Jay Leno. All of the current late-night talk shows spew political propaganda in the guise of hip humor. It's about as cutting edge and risky as cutting warm butter with a dull knife. They definitely wouldn't mock Saint Barack (peace be upon him).

I was watching some old Johnny Carson clips on YT recently, we might as well be in a different dimension.

I know what you mean. It seems like we now live in a weird mix of "1984" and "Idiocracy".

They don't get much more Paranormal/Political than this one. I don't really acknowledge the term 'paranormal' though. It's lazy.

I'd never seen that site before, so I checked it out. Looks like clickbait for nerds. Still--there's nothing wrong with that.

A BIBLICAL prophecy predicting the return of the Messiah has come true after a live snake was seen slithering out of Israel’s Western Wall.

Bill Murray is our Nostradamus. "Caddyshack" is full of predictions.

I resent that. I'm not a nerd; I'm a nut.

You can take it as gospel if it's in the Daily Star. It's quite the staid publication.

I'll start to worry when the snake pushes taboo apples. Until then, I'll put this omen of End Times in the file with the rest of them since the founding of Ur.

Yabutt...there's 2 other "signs":

https://nypost.com/2018/09/09/prophecy-fulfilled-after-red-cow-is-born-at-temple-of-israel/

An all-red heifer was born at the Temple of Israel on Sept. 4, fulfilling a biblical prophecy to “reinstate purity to the world and the rebuilding of the Holy Temple,” according to the temple’s YouTube announcement.

The sacrifice of a red heifer is essential to the construction of a third temple in Jerusalem, which would bring the coming of the Messiah and the final judgment.

The Temple of Israel wrote, “The heifer is currently a viable candidate and will be examined [to see] whether it possess[es] the necessary qualifications for the red heifer.”

Almost ten times saltier than the ocean, nothing can live in the Dead Sea’s hypersaline environment â€" Or so scientists thought until recently. Scientific research has proved the existence of life at the bottom of the sea, but due to a unique set of circumstances, signs of life have begun appearing on its very shores, precisely as it is written in the Book of Prophets.

A young woman on a nature hike was shocked recently when she discovered freshwater ponds with fish on the shores of the Dead Sea. Samantha Siegel, a Jewish woman living in Jerusalem, often takes trips to the desert and the ancient body of water. On a recent visit, she encountered an incongruous sight with powerful implications: a prophecy appearing before her eyes that seemed to contradict the laws of nature.

It is very difficult to avoid going from "These are my beliefs" to "I am right, and you are wrong unless you agree with me."
