I like to be in on the conversation with the video place. "Can you convert an old VHS tape and put it on DVD for me?" "Yes sir, we can" "Good, I have some footage of a dog dying in 1987 and wanted it on DVD. I need to leave and get back home to pee my dog." "Uh, ok" (backing away slowly.)
Ha!  Dudes probably thinking "oh, great.  A dog snuff film."

Like Geeksquad etc when they find illegal stuff on some pervs computer in for maintenance:  I imagine some weird conversations with local law enforcement and head-scratching by the DA. "Well, son, thanks for alerting us but we've never seen this before and, technically, I can't find anything on the books with regard to dog snuff films. It would seem illegal but I guess the legislators just haven't even considered this."  I also imagine the guy at the video conversion place is like that pimply-faced teen worker always used in The Simpsons.

I have the audio of the Paul C call somewhere....it was kinda creepy

Post it if you can find it easily. Paul&Ella never get old and that sounds very creepy and weird.

I think the very end of the October comeback show or the one after it. So probably October 1st. They were the sign off callers I believe.  I don't have the full show just that clip

Yeah and the non existent fill in shows, he [Art Bell] promised.

This is a real clue that AB was NOT very supportive of HW. Why? AB had to know her subscription numbers were dropping to unprofitable levels. Also, if there was some kind of weird intimate relationship between them, then he would have co-hosted and filled-in too as an excuse to be helping HW at the studio in private away from his family. That never happened.

I heard that.
He talks like he texts.
Disjointed. Halting.
Odd dude to be sure.

Ha!  Probably still a MITD subscriber and mailing painted rocks to the Cuckshack.

You mean everyone still isn’t doing that?

After listening to MITD with David Icke  , I have renewed respect for Heather Wade .

Seriously. I wish she'd come back on the air, but she needs her time I suppose.

During the night
a little grimy club is doing it right
Heather Wade
She's gonna dance and then get paid

The money is sweet
she takes a while to rest her feet
befuddled downright
she hears her father on the air every night

2002
she's on the phone and can't get through
email will do
and by September they talk it through

2015
he's gonna do his show on a stream
his tenure is brief
she takes his place in the desert heat

Desert heat
desert heat

During the night
a little grimy club is doing it right
and Heather Wade

Desert heat

2015
give up, give up

That's my favorite one!  ;D

I'm still partial to Don't Treat Keith This Way.  Thanks, baaaaabe.

I still love "In Nye".

I think In Nye is a masterpiece. The lyricism could stand up to Martin Fry at his best (Lexicon of Love).

This is my recommended listening order. If this was 1978 and these were being released as some kind of Bellgab inspired EP or maxi-single I think I'd sequence them like this.

Side A

In Nye - Upbeat and catchy, draws you in
Don't Treat Keith This Way - Takes things down a notch and has one of those old school repetitious endings that works well as the end to a side

Side B

Desert Heat - Sets the tone for a darker second side, still has enough energy to work as a 'climax'
Midnight in the Cuckshed - Ends on a somber note, same function as the original track at the end of each show

Thanks Liberace!/MV for the laughs and meltdown reminders of HW's train wreck that keeps on giving...

Somebody should post the links to all these songs, as most of us don't have "the set" playlist to find all of these easily in one post. TIA. :D

Lyrics in video descriptions.
It's music appreciation on the 'gab.

"paladin, would you like to here the 'gabs greatest hits?"

"Why yes, MV, I would appreciate that."

Desert Heat is new.

True, I just wanted more sing alongs.

Which brings me into what I want to share with all of you out there... As I made my drive to get a haircut this evening. I was listening to the radio and left it on a rock station and they went to a break... When they returned it was a very familiar song that came on....

it was the song that Heather Wade was singing during her infamous karaoke nights... The song voodoo came on by the band godsmack....

I laughed maniacally in my car while people just looked at me, like if I was crazy. Great times .... Now if only we could hear other show hosts have meltdowns, and never be heard from again.... I would really like that.

hated this shit when it came out in 1997, and still do.

it might be because the rock station across the hall from me (in 1997 when i was 17) played this shit incessantly and most of the jocks would turn the monitors up reeeeally loud to make sure the whole building could hear what they were playing.  i was busy inserting local spots in limbaugh's commercial breaks or reading the news, and i gave zero fucks what was happening across the hall.  honestly, i was moved by very little of the music that came out when i was a teenager.

I only liked a handful of bands from that era.. not a fan of Godsmack myself. Inserting those breaks.... The tedious task no one ever likes to do
