Did he say his name was... Maker? Cool name, honestly.

I think she said his name again. It sure sounds like "Maker." Is it spelled with alternating caps? I hear that's hip with the youth these days.

Perhaps, it's code. That does seem so hackneyed these days though, honestly.

Lilith

No worries Heatha.  I'm not sure how many people would value your judgement of them anyway.

Lilith

That new affiliate Heatha was all excited about still hasn't been added to her listen page.

I still don't understand why she has her one or two affiliates on the listen page, instead of on the affiliates page.

Ours is not to wonder why;
Our is but to listen, and to suffer eternal torment in an oubliette.

(I'm not going to lie, I'm not the poet around here, for obvious reasons.)

Lilith

Heatha should just hire the people she needs to get the job done, as Art would have done Turquoise Diva.

Whatever are you thinking?

just hire the people

How do you know they're even people? Have you ever eaten with them? That can be faked now anyway.

Jackstar

And speaking of people, I stopped remembering names once the chicks started getting put on the air.

Company policy. Great show though, cheers Ace!

Lilith

If they're going to have their own country, they should build their own Fire Department, and Ambulatory and Hospital system as well.  They would need to develop their own medical insurance system, their own unemployment system...

Well, the list goes on and on.

Freetown Christiania, autonomous anarchist district in Copenhagen, goes back to early 1970s. Are there any parallels with present day Seattle?

Well, the list goes on and on.

They'll also have to go out of their way to establish diplomatic relations with The Quincunx, which I can assure you, is just as much of a tedious and tense pain in the ass as it sounds--more, most likely.

I don't think the Capitol Hill thing is gonna get very far, is what I'm saying. I know, I know, I'm not very clear on my intentions and meanings most of the time. (That's not company policy, I'm just tired of having to repeat myself.)

But take it from me, a lifelong Seattlite: it's a psyop from bottom to top.

I admit, it's interesting to observe the developments, and compare.

Lilith

Just to answer Heatha's Open Lines question for myself,  "What Would You Change?".

Not a single thing.

Lilith

Why not go out in the desert and take your OWN pictures of stuff for your website Heatha?

Lilith

Why doesn't Bear have a professional aid?

Lilith

Oh yeah. Listeners medical updates make for fascinating radio content.

Why does an .mp3 file need to be over three hundred and twenty THIRTY megabytes in size? What, does it contain actual brainslugs in binary form? Nice try, DIA.

Quote from: Jackrabbit on June 15, 2020, 11:06:26 PM
I know someone who is gonna adore this one.

I'm not letting her have any more pets, I don't care how adorable the brainslugs are, they get uppity real fast. First they want a door opened, then they want to change all the lines in songs, eventually they start breeding in the mop closet--like they invented the idea. Like they're entitled. "Oh, look, a perfectly good out of the way spot, out of prying human eyes, none of these puny humans here ever mop, We'll just immantenize the Eschaton in here..." it's always the same trash. Sigh.

Delicious seared with butter, sure, but who needs 330MB of brainslug? I'll take the hard pass, thanks. Zot. But I bet this is a great story, thanks for the tip.

Silphion

Is this the year they finally immanentize the Eschaton as the Illuminatus! foretells?

I'm not a "believer" in anything.

I won't allow it. They had their chance to be close to me.

If you ask me, you're better off with The Quincunx. No one wants to immamentize that, of that I can assure you.

Lilith

Your show is nothing like Arts' was Heatha.

Jackstar

BTW, this closing speech from Heather is really marking the end of an era. It's hard to imagine her getting much better than she already has.

See? I told you so. KSM32, come on down.

Lilith

Yes, a better class of groupies couldn't hurt.

Could you take a moment and reference what you mean by The Quincunx ?

It's been what?  5 years now she's been trying to do this?  I would imagine she's reached her maximum skill level by now.
