Ink Geyser Cartridges Inc.  Your logo is a sketching of an oil well derrick that's shooting out a glob of black ink.

wow...cool...I like that one too. US TITS in the lead!  ;D

whoozit

Probably too subtle but what about The Squeezed Squid?  Easy to see what the logo should be.

Love it...but maybe better for tatoo...I run into competition from them a lot.  :D

Found a good graphic of a Titan II as a starting point. Could modify this and change the colors to a patriotic theme. Could have the flames coming out as yellow, magenta, cyan - you get the idea.

OT, but the Titan II is my favorite missle/space rocket of all time. Zero to earth orbit in 5 minutes 35 seconds plus the screech made when the hypergolic propellants combined at liftoff. Versatile for war and exploration alike.

I agree. Chemistry still rules space flight...though the engineers would never say that. They are waiting for Mag Lev...guess what...chemistry still rules and will for a long time! Even when they get mag lev, chem will power it with fusion energy...

I know there are very smart folks on this board...please help me find a new name for the new business I"m starting. Selling inkjet cartridges direct to end users online. All components and labor are from the USA.

1. Liberty Inkjets
2. National Inkjet Reclamation
3. Strategic Cartridge Solutions
4. ???

Thanks! Ha, of course the joke names will be appreciated as well.  :D

How about Why Do I Need To Print Anything Anymore? Inkjet:D

Seriously, I'm not trying to be a jerk here but you may want to reconsider this business venture. I used to print a lot more than I do now, which is hardly ever. Unless you're targeting specific demographics with this it may be a lost cause.  ;)

Good point. But a lot of folks still print, and I can do it better and cheaper...If I knew the secret code for the next new thing, I might do that. Do you have the secret code for making money? Not trying to be a jerk?  ;)

No, not really. I suppose traditionally you try to fuck over the competition or something like that. Thinking more broadly you're trying to make money off of how people communicate. In general they're doing it less on paper and more exclusively digital. That trend is only going to continue and become exponential until printing is a specialty niche market, which I'd say it already is. So, I suppose I'd try to think of some product or service that helps them do that rather than trying to wring the last few drops of milk out of a cow that's seen her day.  ;)

However, if you're targeting companies that still rely on print media to some degree (advertising, etc.) it could be a quite successful venture.  :)

I do.
Buy Bellgab from MV, make few improvements sell it and you will be rich to move to your next target and buy MITD Show from Keith Rowland
and get rid off that Chinese bitch who is hosting now, replace her with smart person,
make few improvements and sell it and move to your next target
and buy C2C fire that moron George Noory install intelligent host, make few improvements and sell it
and with the money sue Art Bell (if he is still alive by that time) and after you take Art to the cleaners get possession of his property
(by that time Art's wifu will fuck off to her native land of Philippines) and create sewer dump on it
and make money from all the Bellgabbers coming to visit the shrine.

Sounds like a plan to me...

Many years ago I knew someone who worked with some guys who started an ink-jet refilling company. I think it was sprung out of a business school model for a new business. Their model was making a syringe-like device that you would refill your ink-packs at home. I'm not sure how that worked out but they had a few production lines and maybe switched to refilling the empty ones themselves and selling? It was a relatively small operation but in looking at the rare information I can find it would appear that maybe they got bought out by this outfit? Last I heard they had a bunch of money (at least for that time/age.) They weren't born poor by any means so not sure how much money was from the sale of company or operations or just inheritance type of thing. This was decades ago so memories not clear and I never knew them well.

Good luck on your endeavor.

Ha. It's half joke around here...you are correct...printing is on the down turn...so is going out to eat...if you have something better, you can still win...or go on welfare.  :D

How about "Old Faithful Inkjets". It's 'Merican without being pro American. And you have a logo made from a photo of the geyser done in negative so the geyser is black.

It's just that we're at a point in history where we can all carry around massive hard drives that are the size of our thumb nail. So, more and more people are going to ask the question Why do I need to print this out when I can just bring the file with me wherever I go? Perhaps selling SD cards is the new inkjet?

George Senda's Inkredible Inkjets.

He's famous across five continents as a byword for quality. And the idea that you're using his name would give him a stroke.

There is still money in printing but more specialized: architecture plans, legal papers, business contracts, tax filings, etc and even most all of those are composed electronically but printed for signatures, use in the field, or for archives. I think even grad school or undergrad printing business is pretty much gone as dissertations, presentations, and papers are submitted electronically. (I don't know this for sure but see total lack of print shops around campus area where their used to be lots of them.)

One thing I think of is how the Post Office dropped the ball by not innovating and/or not using regulatory capture to stay profitable or keep market-share. For example: they should've made a law that all official documents (court proceedings, divorce papers, lawsuits, summons, taxes, corporate reporting, regulatory reporting, etc) must be sent by USPS and/or by certified mail. They also should've seized the opportunity or many old, rural, disabled, or poor people getting their 'government check' or using PO boxes and become a small banking institution and issued debit/credit cards (like post banks do in Europe.) Not a rich market but a large one.

For you, get the government to make a law that all legal documentation MUST be printed using US made ink and ink cartridges, for "homeland security" issues!

I'd love that law! I'm sure it would require anal sex though...

Look at vinyl. Sure not "as big" as electronic but have you looked at the prices now. I'm punching myself that I got rid of all my albums when they were deemed dead and I "should switch to CD or better yet Sony MiniDisc." Haha. Now hipsters and yuppies are buying albums more than they originally cost.
