Their original mission statement was to finish the 5 year (season) mission. TOS did about 24 episodes a season. I'd say they're only a quarter of the way there.  :

Random Star Trek Thought: In Star Trek the known universe is being mapped. The Enterprise even has a Stellar Cartography department. However, we know the universe is expanding and everything is in some real sense moving away from each other. Seems to me this would present quite a challenge to it’s mapping. I don’t remember this ever being addressed in an episode but perhaps they arrived at some equation for compensating for this?
