NK airshow in 2016, although it could have been in the mid 70s with the majority of the a/c demonstrated.

Wow. Thanks for the video. It's not often that you get to see something go so very wrong with those consequences (and the video get left up for any amount of time...)

Kind of looks as though the parachute tore off at launch.

That's a pretty good video - I wonder what happened to the pilot of the Mig21 after that tailstrike. At least everything looks well maintained.

In the case of this wheel of death - some how no one seemed to get immolated in the launch phase and the chute actually worked.

I wonder if these helicopters have any kind of cooling for their crew beyond those little fans.
Another low altitude Hind video, this time it looks like it's in Russia:

So just south of downtown Kansas City is the old TWA headquarters.  On the south-west corner of the building is a rocket:

Saw this the other day in my meanderings about town, and wondered a bit about it.  Apparently, a Howard Hughes thing called the "Moonliner II" that has been reinstalled at the original location, thus my Mandelbrot Affect reaction upon seeing it.

My question as to whether or not it was an actual thing proto-typed and flown has been answered:  nope.  I figured it was an old V-2 rocket "acquired" somehow and repainted for promotional purposes.  Certainly made me do a double take when I spotted it the other day...

Had the RAAF's aerobatics team flying about last week in their brand new PC21s. Maybe I was just imagining things, but they seemed much louder than their old PC9s.

Have seen reports that Australian airlines are parking planes at Avalon and Brisbane airports for storage, and it's almost certainly happening in America too. Apparently a few airlines are experimenting with using empty passenger planes for cargo flights.

Delta, United, and other airlines are sending their largest planes to the desert for storage as they drastically reduce operations due to coronavirus

Also saw American Airlines flew its first cargo only flight in over 35 years on Friday, I think it was Dallas to Frankfurt.

It was better than the Skua.

When the Japanese encountered Fulmars off Ceylon, they reported them as Spitfires.  I met a former FAA TAG who flew Fulmars in the Med.  He said he would save the silver paper from chewing gum wrappers and throw them out the back if a German or Italian got on their tail, said it confused them.  Also fired Thompsons and flare guns out the back if attacked.

If this happened in the USAF, there would be some people court martialled and kicked out of the service, starting with  the wing commander.
