Like replacing your T&P valve and relocating the water heater so it don't kill you in your sleep if it blows.

Good advice!

Congratulations  . Bellgabber of the Year!!!

I share your sentiments, if not your condiments.

What wine goes with polenta?

BellGab did not disappoint in the first of what I hope becomes at least an annual event!

Thank you YP & SV for sitting in with me the whole show and making it a fun ride for all.

Also thanks to our segment hosts, and special guests.  Sorry we didn't get to everything planned but there was a lot of greatness stuffed into the whole show!!!  I'll have the final time stamp tomorrow but I think we beat our 4 hour and 20 minute goal.  We didn't cover all the hosting costs but we helped cover a good portion and that is a win.

Now we have just under 12 months to plan the next one. I expect another BellGabber to pick up what we started and be the master of ceremonies for the 2018 version.  The audio will be sent over to MV tomorrow.  I did a quick check of levels and it sounds listenable as aired so I don't think it will need any post production.

Was a fun night, hopefully when all the dust settles there might be more than what was originally tallied. There was more cohesiveness than what I expected and the forum can gain from that, too.

It is 9:05 Eastern time, the stream won't start and nobody seems to be in chat.

May I suggest a prostate misogyny?

That has not been substantiated and you are now subject to an intar-tube libel suite (right above the goal-line...)

Great job Curtis, SV, YP, MV, and your guests.  It was lots of fun to listen to.

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed listening!

Good job guys. I wasn't in chat much but it was fun listening. Glad to know you guys haven't shown up in the obits yet!
Thanks for the fun!!!

So say we all!

After some off air before broadcast, mysterious technical goof (I could skype conference call on my tablet and phone earphones, but not on pc with a brand new crystal clear head mic) Curtiss got the show on the road. I thought it good fun, and glad for the input from the callers, and especially how Curtiss kept everything going along. SV as ever being his over educated, erudite self, and me trying to be less working class than usual.
As most will have guessed, I was fortified with a couple of glasses of an agreeable red, and therefore slurred my usual drivel more than normal, but with the monologues from Mr Horn, it was neccessary to keep any semblence of attention to what he was saying. I can't believe people pay to go and listen to his well rehearsed sales pitch for the lost and lonely. I knew he would avoid answering specific questions with specific answers, and drop into the tried and tested "Guy who worked for top secret NASA missions told me but can't be named" bullshit. Face to face in a round table discussion might be fun, with real scientists, special effects designers, model makers, etc.

That aside I enjoyed it and I know the three of us appreciate the compliments and support. Give us yer money!

pyewacket

Great job, Curtis and all those who helped you put on a fun show. One suggestion would be to use a line or two from PBS fundraisers and remind people how much their donations are needed and that the cost of a cup of premium coffee would help keep the lights on at Bellgab.

MV gave us multiple options and I was happy to see PayPal included. As soon as Curtis opened the show and introduced his co-hosts it was easy to hit that button and then sit back to listen to the show.

I hope that more support is coming to make up for any shortfall. Maybe some mini additional fund raisers with a challenge to some of our most outspoken gabbers. For example, someone could write a funny story or a rant about Bellgab, or submit other artistic expression for donations. Pud did go at it with Mr. Horn- not sure how happy he was, but if people like it and are willing to throw in some funds, maybe a segment where two people, either members or guests settle a dispute or argue a point. There doesn't have to be a winner- just present and defend your POV.

This was a fine start and I hope donations continue to come it.  :)

Yorkie seems to have acquired quite a following in the 'menopausal female' demographic. His performance last night was like a cross between Charles Bronson and a rabid Rotteweiller. We had what I thought was a mild disagreement over a film director and he was ready to tear my throat out with his teeth.

Fookin' 'ell!!

Geez SV .. do you always have to add  layer upon layers of  complicated 'anal'eyes-ing?

Yorkie is as nutty as Horn and Falkie!

I was thinking that Pud was acting like a 'menopausal female' - Charles Bronson?- don't make me laugh.

If you are having trouble with Pud forgetting to use his 'indoors voice'- I suggest couples therapy- you'll both feel better.  ;)

We rehearsed for two hours with Horn before going out live. Wasn't my fault he went off script and started reading his diaries of what he'd do if he didn't look like a penis. Had to try something to bring him back on track.

Senda won't like you calling him nutty. Horn will take it as a compliment.

You're obviously fretful and confused by the strange longings Yorkie has released in you. I bet you spent the night dreaming of him throwing you about like a mutant Silverback.

I did enjoy your 'exchange' with Horn..

The guy is like "Teflon Ron" .. nothing sticks to him..
He polite listens then goes off on some crazy tangent.

It's impossible to score any debate points against those nutters.
