Here's one from your generation Art, I don't remember ever hearing it on your shows.

Skeeter Davis - The end of the world (HQ)

This one is just for laughs- lots of double entendre. Art's got a sense of humor- Dave would faint.  ;)

I love your taste in music. Big Brian Wilson/Beach Boys fan.  I put the Boys at #3 of my all-time favorite bands just behind The Beatles and ELO.

Another of my favorite bands with a couple from the Muswell Hillbillies album.

The Kinks - 20th Century Man

Kinks - Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues

If you ever do a show about Wall Street shenanigans.

Rob Zombie â€" The Man Who Laughs

Not quite the grunge mental tune one might expect from Mr. Zombie.  Inspired by the 1928 film of the same name, this 2010 track has several attention-getting samples which would sound great on Art’s show. The classical string section gives it a cool retro James Bond / Moody Blues feel.

What's that shimmering light in the sky?
It's the glint from David Gilmour's Stratocaster drawing you DEEP into the night.
Marooned Live at The 50th Anniversary Of The Fender Stratocaster, it's the first song....

Thanks. Make sure you check out the Smiley Smile message board. Brian Wilson is a member and recently did a question and answer session on that board. I don't know if Brian or one of his people does the posting but he is there. We're really fortunate that Art posts here on this board.

Here's the link but maybe you know it already? Great place for info and updates on the Beach Boys.

I think I've posted enough already so I'll wait a while to post more music. I don't know what Art would like but you might as well post and see what happens. It would be cool to hear a song from Dennis Wilson's 'Pacific Ocean Blue'. I don't know if Art likes the BB's but Brian's new album should be very pop music- friendly and it sounds like it's going to be one of his best solo efforts ever. Al Jardine sounds great!

That was a strange video.

That is Michael Nesmith from the Monkees. In 1979 he did an album called 'Infinite Rider on the Big Dogma'. The music videos from that album were included on a video collection which also included comedy skits. It was called 'Elephant Parts' :

Elephant Parts is a collection of comedy and music videos made in 1981 by Michael Nesmith, former member of the Monkees. Nesmith produced the video through his company Pacific Arts, using money he inherited from his mother, the inventor of Liquid Paper. Elephant Parts is one hour long and features five full length music videos, including the popular songs "Rio", and "Cruisin'", which featured wrestler Steve Strong and Monterey-based comic "Chicago" Steve Barkley.

Elephant Parts won the first Grammy in the Music Video category, and was later followed by two TV series: PopClips for Nickelodeon (released in 1980), and Television Parts for NBC in 1985. Nickelodeon's parent company, Warner Cable, wanted to buy outright the PopClips copyright to be expanded into an all-music video channel, but after Nesmith declined the offer, Warner Cable started work on what would become MTV.

Winning that first video music award Grammy was a big deal because this was all pre-MTV.

Art is correct when he says that music is a big part of the show. Just thinking about the song 'Sky High' by Jigsaw I believe. I love all of that 70's stuff including Abba. Some may disagree but the music did add a certain feeling or energy to the show.

how are some of you bypassing the "embedding is disabled" limit?

Is this a seniority thing?

nobody is bypassing it. after 20 videos per page it's game over until next page.
that's why I wrote please don't post more than 1 video per comment.
Also, nobody is going to listen to the 6+ videos of the same band anyway when the first two sucked already,
so you don't need to post 6+ videos of the same damn group.
Just pick the best 1 or 2 songs, if Art really likes them, he's intelligent enough to find the rest of a bands material, if he wants.

Well, I did not post 20 videos.   I posted FOUR videos of of different bands, not the same band, and only ONE showed up as a thumbnail link.  I don't come here and abuse the system if that's what you are referring.

Not only that, I rarely post at all.

He means 20 videos by all posters combined.

You have to be kidding.  That makes no sense at all.  So only 20 videos total?  That's fucking insane.

20 posters......or 20 videos?

Either way, that limits ANYBODY posting on this site.  Wow, I never had this problem at other fan sites.  It might be about time to say FUCK bellgab if you guys control shit like Obama.

rzr1911 just registered,  WOULD A MOD PLEASE ELABORATE ON THIS?

Nick el Ass

Only twenty videos per page, and once this thread hits page #22 you can start posting away again.  Btw, I wouldn't put to much into what rzr1911 had to say about your choice of music because he is having another moment.
