Great stuff! :D I have a nice compilation of Ford's best stuff.  His music really has more in common with R&B and early rock than with country.  Red Foley's music also had the same rhythm.

It's definitely got those influences and is headed in that direction but still fits solidly in the tradition of Western swing.  Yeah, him and Foley are kind of bookends of this era. I love it whenever those great driving guitar lines come in. That's the start of the rock and roll riff.  ;)
