They really nail the essence and spirit of the original. Also, as most know because Shatner says so in the opening voice over, Star Trek was supposed to be a 5 year mission but the show was cancelled after 3. Continues vows to complete the 5 year mission with 2 more seasons based on the shows of the original run. So far they're off to a great start. I haven't seen an episode yet that I didn't think was great. However, these guys are professionals working in Hollywood who are just doing this in their spare time as a passion project so they only release 2 or 3 episodes a year. They're concentrating on quality.
