Hmm. There is a cultural environment that promotes these actions, even if you don’t care one way or another. After all, a woman or a girl doesn’t just wake up one day and proclaim “I think I’ll just shave my genitals!” Perhaps the images shoved in her face 24/7 of impossibly beautiful, size 0 (that’s right, ladies, be a zero, be a nothing â€" intersting choice of sizing, eh? The only way I can imagine another woman doing this to a girl is if the woman herself has never had an orgasm. I understand their saying "she has to have it" because a man [if we have to call him that] won't marry her unless she has it done." I make an attempt to avoid this pop culture swill as much as possible, but when I am dragged kicking and screaming through pop culture land I tend to take a similar stance to Avi.  These so called "Role Models" are indoctrinating a huge percentage of young women that think they need to present themselves in a certain manner to be attractive to men.  Personally I find that there is a shortage of young women who value intelligence in themselves and their prospective partners.  I personally don't want to date a woman who wears pink sweat pants emblazoned with Juicy.  I would much rather someone who enjoys an intellectual conversation and good weekend hiking or biking than someone who wants to go to a Nickelback concert.

Im still of the opinion that since paris and jersey shore can be held up as real "entertainment" than we might as well hail porn  as real "entertainment" as well. Hell, prostitution is one of THE OLDEST PROFESSIONS. BAR NONE. Eve probably said "you can only fuck me if you feed me". Done, prostitution  is born. Porn is another of those professions that just won't go away. Ever. People like to watch people have sex. Should they be having sex in public? No. But in the privacy of your own home, porn is a good substitute for sex if that option is not open. I realize that I address issues in greater depth than most folks want to read, but of course, they are under no obligation to do so. Still, I will say this very succinctly: porn turns women off of men. There is no woman alive who wants to compete with porn actresses on a screen or in your imagination. I think they feel rightly insulted by such an expectation. Your view of women is a little frightening as well. Yes, there are women who fuck for money, but this is due to exigent circumstances. The idea that women and men freely "choose" to participate in porn or prostitution, and that it has no consequences, is bullshit. Moreover, the idea that women are gold-diggers, who all secretly want it but hold out until they get what they want, is a trope of porn. Porn then goes on to say that women, thus, deserve the degradation and violence enacted upon their bodies. Do I really need to tell you this is crap?

Porn is not about sexual liberation - it's about money. Pornographers are not interested in relieving you of your sexual frustration, but in relieving you of cash. They're very happy to convince you that you're a playa, as you're being played (or playing with yourself, most likely). Pornographers do not care about the long-term effects in our culture of viewing their material. Short-term gain, buddy. You know very well that not all pornographers are scrupulous about cleanliness on their sets or testing their performers for STDs or calling a halt to proceedings when demanded. If you purchase porn, you create a demand for the product which results in real people being hurt - even if you can be reasonably certain that your video did not contain coercive or dangerous acts (although how one would know this is debatable). Mental illness and drug abuse are rampant within porn. Even though the vid below was made by a former porn actor who got Jesus, I think it shows very clearly the real problems this industry has. Sorry, I don't hail porn as "real entertainment." My motto: no porn, no prostitutes, no strip clubs.
