Hard to believe...4th game of the season and no football thread? What the hell! I know there are fans out there!

In a very early game the Jets beat the Dolphins in London, England 27-14.

Going into the 2nd half, the only score worth reporting is the smack-down the Falcons are giving the Texans 35-0. Ouch!

My team is the Dallas Cowboys. 1960 was when they started as an expansion team. Back then television was black&white and there were no regional games. One game was broadcast nation-wide. The first year the Cowboys were only on TV once...and they lost.
My Dad and I would listen every week on the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network. He made a cardboard gridiron, overlaid an acetate sheet and used a grease pencil to record the plays.
As the years progressed the regional games started and we'd watch religiously. However he didn't like the announcers so he turned down the TV audio and turned on the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network and for many, many years that was how we enjoyed watching.
My mother was as avid a fan as me and Dad were. Her favorite quarterback was Danny White and her most hated was Terry Bradshaw, who she called "baldy".
Both my parents passed away years ago but watching the Cowboys together are some of the fondest memories I cherish.

I really love the revamped Jets. They have two of my faves Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall...also Cute Guys and now Chris Ivory. Don't know much about their coach but he has really whipped this team into shape. And he seems so zenlike on the sidelines

What a disaster!
Bradford is showing the rust of missing all of last season. That O line isn't helping him either.

Johnson fumbled the kickoff and dropped a TD pass so far for Arizona...not good...

its the same issue as last year...plus some...O-Line is horrendous...which is hindering the running game..Murray saying he isnt getting enough touches and..time of possession is again far too lopsided ...you can not keep a defense on the field for 40+ minutes a week

the new Jets coach is doing a nice job. I'm still pissed about Decker leaving Denver. His departure hurt the Broncos more than expected.

I outsmarted myself in the pool by picking the Jags over the Colts. Almost got the win. Turns out, it wouldn't have mattered much because of the Bears and Skins upset wins.

Floodlight is poised for a good week. Perfect so far.

Yeah. He and Manning were great together. Finally getting used to seeing Decker in a different uniform

Great name for a football player and a porn star! ;D

WTF is up with all the Viking fans at Mile High? holy shit, it's like a home game for them

edit: Denver O isn't as dominate as it once was. certainly makes for a more interesting & competitive game. Denver defense is on the field and they can win the game with a stop.  4th week in a row the outcome is placed squarely on the D's shoulders. This time however, they are dealing with a highly mobile QB in Bridgewater.

Rams D is taking it to the Cardinals

Johnson working hard on redemption! 2 points down now with 4 min left! Turning into a real good game!

Just switched over to this game. Wow! Cards are going to loose this one. Rams have beat both Cards and Seahawks in the NFC West.
If the rams could find some consistency, they'd be a great team.

Yea, both conference matches! Their D is rock solid...if they get it going on offence, then they will be someone to look out for...

TigerLily

Talk about a nail-biter! Just finished watching the Charger game. Really the only thing that saved them was all those Cleveland penalties. Especially that last one. Whew!

I couldn't watch the Denver game but looked like it was a good one

JaMarcus Winston threw a shitload of INTs at FSU last year.

JaMarcus Winston is throwing a shitload of INTs for Tampa this season.

   What a surprise.

I doubt he will, though. His salary this year is only slightly higher than his FSU pay.

The quality of these NFL games is redolent of the NFL of early October, 1987.

Fins finally fired Philbin!

Erm...

Right after the loss to the Jets, the unemotional Philbin said he's not concerned about loosing his job. Yet another miscalculation from coach er uh, former coach Philbin. He's not the type of guy that can be the emotional force needed to rally a group of players together. I'm not surprised he was shown the door. However, It is surprising that it came after only 4 games into the season. I thought they'd fire the OC & DC and allow Philbin to finish the season.

eddie dean

What's going on with FG this year?
They are making only 84% of attempted field goals so far.
Could the extra point rule change have anything to do with missing FG?
I don't see how it can be related, unless the 33 yard PAT is getting into the kickers heads.

Considering that interim HC Dan Campbell has been with the Fins since before Philbin, one wonders if he's been the contingency plan since the season began. The owner said something about how he likes Campbell's "grit," which is not something you'd associate with Philbin. He's also got that Bill Parcells connection, having played for the man and one of his notable disciples in Sean Payton.
