Agree about the digital artifacts. Hearing a voice in these examples is a prime example of  audio pareidolia.

I don't fault Art's reactions however. He is trying to create an entertaining show.

His evp's maybe so compressed sounded that it turns the show into a toilet flushing, I don't know how Art can listen to this and not complain about the quality of the recordings, maybe they get so processed that it creates all these artifacts? Either way it sounds washy and wobbly, I can't make anything much out of it.

The GIS are the EVP gold standard. Listening to them over the years, we're indeed spoiled.

I really don't like the idea of EVP's sounding different with each EVP guest. These bird EVP's sound nothing like GIS.

These can be very spooky, and I once got into an awful mess with EVPs on Coast while I was falling into a hypnagogic state. I could hear the voices and knew I was awake, but was locked into a different reality with the voices.
But EVPs on the radio is a bit like ventriloquism on the radio, isn't it?

hmmm...there's something on the recording, just not sure what it is. Weird.
