So Klass evidently MADE UP everything in his book denouncing the case. He could truthfully say he went to Snowflake. He stepped out of the limo, then got back in.
BTW, you should call or Wormhole that story to Art.

Listening in a darkened basement.  Lit by the computer monitor.    Smoking a camel. Drinking Miller Lite. ...

Laptop open on a dark balcony. Seven stories up, looking out over the rooftops with a cold drink and some of Colorado's finest.

Atmosphere IS everything!

Just got home, turn on the laptop and find Travis Walton is on?

Where did he poop and tinkle? In movies and TV shows, such mundane matters are ignored. But if he was gone 5 days then I assume he had to relieve himself. Did the alien ship have a modern toilet?

Shhhhhhh!  Don't let out the magic secret that no one in Hollywood actually has regular bodily functions! Superior beings such as our sacred entertainment apparat, are not weighed down by such mundane, petty, human conditions.

I believe Quimby's in the house.

;)

As honest as Walton sounds, I'm not sure he's thought this through. I'm more inclined to believe he was abducted by a government of earth than I am to believe he was grabbed by aliens. Based on my beliefs that is more likely the case.  :)

In Phoenix with my golden retriever at my feet, me nursing a cold glass of wine in my home library. Air conditioning on HIGH. Violent thunderstorms tonight.

Beliefs have NOTHING to do with reality. To believe this, you have to accept that the government was flying a saucer in the middle of a northern Arizona forest, had stun rays, had little people dressed up as aliens, and muscular blonde men and women in skin tight clothes. All this just so it honors your right wing fundamentalist Christian world view?

Isn't it great? Add all others following on other websites, FaceBook, twiter, etc.  And then, of course, all those listeners who just listen and don't even know that these forums exist.

Be very glad you're not in Nebraska or Northern Kansas!

Within view of Lake Merritt, Oakland, California. 64F, partly cloudy, cool & serene. Drinking chilled tap water, best in CA: it's from Hetch Hetchy.

Anything's possible, but he's certainly not the first to be abducted by beings that look nothing like humans.

Somehow you always work in partisan politics, even in an alien abduction story.  I'm impressed.

I wonder if the healing medical device was using something like hispidins from bioluminesent fungi.

QuoteBy using a variety of separation techniques and spectroscopic methods, the team was able to identify the luciferin precursor as hispidin, a fungal metabolite known to be a strong antioxidant with antidiabetic and antitumor effects. The researchers were also able to find hispidin in four types of luminescent fungus that are barely genetically related.

QuoteWhat makes a fungus able to luminesce isn't hispidin alone; it is the ability to produce the two enzymes necessary for bioluminescence. The researchers were able to extract these two enzymes from the biomass of luminescent fungi: The first is hispidin-3-hydroxylase, which converts hispidin to the actual luciferin, 3-hydroxylhispidin, by means of a hydroxylation reaction that also involves NADPH. This discovery overturns a 50-year-old doctrine that assumes that the precursor undergoes a reduction reaction to form the luciferin. The second enzyme is the luciferase, which catalyzes the oxidation of the luciferin to produce the luminescence.
