I'm enjoying this show so far. Interesting guest.

I left Art a wormhole question that he could crumble this guy with, if he is in fact not legit. Something any legit guy would easily understand, but the common public would not. Not that Art will ask it, bad for radio to shut the guest down in the first hour... ;)

What was it?

Well entanglement isn't any form of communication.

Still it could theoretically be used for communcation, at faster-than-light speeds, e.g. allowing instant contact with someone on Mars.

This guy doesn't have a doctorate?

This really isn't much of a way to dismiss someone any longer.

Georgieforpresident fielded this better than I could.

trostol

so this guy gets cancelled or other scientists brush his work aside and he laughs at it

He makes arguments for the massive mass of protons in his paper, in other words what goes on at Cern does seem kind of dangerous.

Dena81

Ooooooooooooooo Art's trying to catch this guy in his own 'black hole'

There is a glitch in the matrix where for some time now I have been finding your posts excellent and reasonable.

Well aren't you special?

Sabu2K

I love when Art gets excited like he just did lol

Never2Late

I have to add, I'm around a lot of people working towards their doctorates right now in physics/astrophysics/etc,etc, and only a veryyyy small percentage of them know how to prepare a meal, do their laundry, pay a bill, or socialize with anyone outside of academia and are baffled by people with "jobs".  So.... I'm having less and less respect for fancy degrees all the time.  Particularly in this day and age.

Art filling in the guest's words when the audio dropped for a moment. Art has crazy focus.  ;D

I heard someone pronounce "an act of hutzpah" like "an active foot spa." Sent me into a rage.

What was it?

Putting it out there would give this guy a chance to google it and try to bs his way through. I'll just leave it up to Art to whether he will ask it or not. Probably not, since it would be confusing to the audience and seems like a bogus question, if your not in that level of mathematics and research.

Spotting! OMG! We need a quick trip to the store, before aunt flo comes to town.

Unfortunately, you can not manipulate a particle that is entangled without breaking the connection.  As I understand, once it's observed it's no good.  So, you can observe a particle and know what the entangled one did, but it's really useless because it's still only a random event that cannot be controlled like a bit in a computer.  There is no known way to transmit information faster than light.

Well, I'm not a physicist but I have read a fair amount on this.  Someone like AO or astroguy could answer it more elegantly.
