Most people don't realize that the Roman Empire didn't actually fall until 1453.

I don't know if there is exactly a theory needed- the Chinese are simply taking coral reefs in international waters and building them into islands with runways and docking facilities. Air Force and Navy types know exactly what they are looking at. These are unsinkable aircraft carriers. Puts fear into the Philippines, Vietnam and everyone else in the neighborhood who has a mistrust of China.

Well it wasn't really Rome anymore by that time. Byzantine was the new capital and the western half fell. So technically your right but it wasn't the Roman Empire anymore.
