I also listen to the Bella-Haven pod casts in the morning.
My wife has never understood how I could be a fan of the Paranormal. But she is enjoying the Bella-Haven Babes chatter.

My question to the ladies Nbirnes and RoseGirl. Will you take a break this weekend? You sure do deserve it. The show is awesome I listen in the mornings with my coffee. That is also when I download, transcode, tag and post the latest BH on the site. I have found out after so many years that I m able to multi task. Yes, I can drink coffee and listen at the same time lol. Keep up the wonderful work. Oh yeah, before I forget, I posted episodes 1 - 3 of the Outsider this morning. Yay!

Art was the most listened to talk show as calculated by talkstreamlive last night. Even right now, 4 1/2 hours before showtime, DMDN is getting bigger numbers than Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham & Alex Jones.

Can you spell out a little what you mean by tagging and transcoding? I am stumped about the tagging -- does it really do anything or is it part of your personal filing system? I am recording at 128/stereo and wonder if I should record differently?

There are other people curious about how all this works, so I hope you'll all indulge me for the tech talk. We'll have delicious flan later.

tagging: adding tags to a file such as :
artist
date
comments
titles
etc

transcoding: changing formats and/or bitrates , aac to mp3  mp3 128k to mp3 48k etc.

Oh no your doing great. I have my station set up for ogg format with icecast so i just change the format of your file from mp3 to ogg. No biggie. Thats transcoding. Some streamers can do it on the fly like idjc. As for tagging, i just check the metadata tags and change if needed . Your files are fine just the way théy are. You dont need to change anything. Your bit rate and recording are great just as they are. I dont change anything but the format to make them compatable with my server. Still 128/stereo. You do a wonderful recording.
