There are huge communities of expats from Europe (especially Germans) who live in Northeast Thailand.

Not surprising...

Originally, George registered for this site under the name "Dave Noory" if I am correct.  Kinda an inside joke, he's referred to as "Dave" as somewhat of I guess I'd call it schoolyard humor.

No he was announced into an event or something as Dave.

I'm a technician myself, and I would highly recommend a hard wired feed, cable.. or even an ISDN line to where ever Keith streams the show from.
Microwave is just too shaky sometimes.
Better also keep it separate from the skype itself, as skype is known for leaking ips leaving you exposed to ddos attacks.
We know there are powers out there that does not want him on the air, so better be careful to not leak the IP of the line used to stream the show itself.

I hope Art isn't discouraged,  he was GREAT!
I know little to nothing about all this tech stuff, but using LV.com and all the other local stuff...not good. This is heavy duty...need like AT&T, Verizon...the big boys like that...Motorola comm shit, IBM servers, the big guys that the guys like LV.com have to go to for their equipment and lines.
I don't know but when I  get or do something you get what you pay for. The new small guys aren't always the most dependable for must work,  must have???

I was thinking about this earlier. If their are glitches and such as we herd tonight maybe art is jumping the gun on starting tomorrow. A few test runs then promote the show. I do hoe it goes better tomorrow night. I doubt ill get to hear it live. I couldnt resist tonight tho.  I used about 300 mb of my 1 gig a month data on this lol.

It was great hearing art again. I just think redacted needs to do a few more shows and she will be great co host. I wasnt sure at first when I read arts idea for a co host but yeah im sure now. I think she just needs to chime in more and be more relaxed about asking questions or making a comment.

Test show overall was great. Just a few issues but that will get sorted out soon im sure.

Art as long as you stay with this i can assure you so will we!!  Glitches and all. We are just glade that ur back.

Well, I am utterly speechless.
That was two hours of the most beautiful Art Bell I've ever heard.
And now I am so worried for Art.
He certainly seemed deflated by the end.

I don't know how, or by what miracle this will be resolved by tomorrow:/
If that satellite or whatever is all he has for internet I don't know how we can count on it:(

But barring what happened at the end, that is the highest quality sound I've heard in a long time.
I think I had become slowly immune to just how crap sound quality on streaming radio really is.
Here's to perfection Art. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!

I guess I should be happy, but this show hasn't gone well at all.

I look forward to the eventual reason we are given as to why this show ends as well.

I really hope I'm wrong. I want Art to be successful and financially well. But this just seems like reasons for the eventual implosion of the show.

Hmm...that's really about all I can say. Hmm... See you all in six weeks I guess?

The technical stuff will get ironed out -- there are SO many great live streams out there that are flawless and on 24/7 -- surely Keith will reach out for technical assistance if he needs to.  That won't be the problem.

Art just needs to revert to his normal routine, and trust that HE is all he needs. Having a few regular experts (UFOs, a resident witch a la Paglini, etc.,) will be the way to go, but no side-kicks or pre-recorded, bland, "news" cut in. Art has no need to fear anything or anyone. He is King of the genre and needs to remember that. If he allows these glitches to get him down, then he's lost his pioneering spirit. Blaze that trail, Art!!

Hard wire from Arizona?

LOL, no not all the way.. just a hard wire from Art's place to either the ISP, or with ISDN is hardwired to the telco, then goes through the telco network to the other end, who also needs an ISDN line.

Xitheron

A guy doing the show right after Art's first show doesn't know Art will be on tomorrow night??

did anyone record the show? I am a time traveler. I just really want to re-listen.

This is GOOD news!  Surely not ALL of us were trying to call.  I was not able.  How many of us are there anyway?

Is it possible at this point that is has had such a build up, that he is afraid to tell it because it is fairly minor?

Yeah I wont lie, I've definitely thought that at this point no story could possibly live up to the concept of the "untellable Ouija tale" but curiosity will always get the best of me and maybe that's part of the appeal.

Don't have cable option at arts place. Everything is wireless or satellite. Also isdn would be the solution like it was in the past when he broadcasts from home. Not sure how that all lines up if you don't own the lines out radio station the line feeds to

saucerlike

Well that was fun, gremlins & all.  Night all and thanks to those who made this happen!

Dave is George Noory.

MV, where did that come from?  I thought he registered here under "Dave Noory", I offered the originally and was corrected being told he was introduced at an event as Dave.  Please set me straight.

Probably the most vibrant Art has sounded since his original 'retirement'.

Hey guys, there was this song during a break... it had a creepy organ, then came in with a rock band with a string section. Anyone know what was?

Actually it was a program director at a radio station that carries C2C that called him Dave. The gaffe was so hilarious that it kinda stuck.

Prior to Sirius, a Bellgabber contacted a radio station manager inquiring about Art.  The manager mentioned Noory but referred to him as "Dave Noorie."  It stuck with us at BellGab.

Someone at the network referred to him as Dave.  He's such an important "cog" to Premier(e) Radio that they know his name real good.

BTW:  I turned on George Knapp and who is he interviewing???  Someone hawking VITAMINS and going off on a Toooooomurrrrrick pill that was 1% tooooooomurrrrrrrrick and the rest was dried Dave sperm that he'd been ejacting through his blow hole :-D
