A jar of marischino cherries in a milk jug, a fifth of grain alcohol, a fifth of vodka, top off with Red Bull.  That's how we would have drunk it when I was in college, if we had Red Bull then.

I don't know what it was called, but the guy freely passing it around said it had Red Bull in it. I remember he looked a lot like Christopher Walken.

Afterwards, I lost pretty much the entire evening. The following morning my guts were roiling, a jackhammer was pounding in my brain, and my friends were muttering about having to leave a particular establishment, never to return again.

Looking back, it probably was not a wise move to drink Christopher Walken's pickle juice.

Why would I ruin perfectly good "booze" with garbage? The last fucking thing I need is more energy to be more of me.

Yikes.

That would involve a consenting partner.  You are talking about an additional person aren't you?  I presume, yes.

There’s a new Wild Cherry Red Bull that I like a lot. I quick drinking alcohol about 3 years ago as it was interfering with my cosmic alignment and/or reception.

Yes, 3way- me, myself, and I. Sometimes it's hard to get me to consent but I usually can get me to have my way with myself.

I've never quite understood it, either.  Nothing like getting hyped-up when you're getting down at the same time.  It's like being on the rack while you're in a trash compactor.  Talk about confusing the hell out of your body.

Nothing gives more pleasure than being completely alert while slurring your words.

I actually enjoyed jager bombs the last time I had them. I'm pretty sure that much caffeine would kill me at this point though.

I don't know much about it, but it sounds awful!

Very true about the cosmic alignment interference alcohol can create... it fucks me up too, so nary a drop of liquor for months at a time. I do break down and have a beer with friends though now & then.

Thank You, well said.  It taxes the hell out of the adrenal gland and you (or in this case they do) DO pay for it later.   

People who behave like this drink are the ones who drink their entire water supply on day one of a survival situation.  I realize I go too far with this last little bit.. Just sayin.

To each their own. But I can't stand the taste of Redbull. Or quite get the deal of mixing energy plus booze. Then again, I sometimes have enjoyed an Irish coffee or cafe correcto with some grappa in it. And better people than me, liked the more hardcore style. I recall someone (George Jones, maybe?) saying he only used coke so he could stay up and drink more.....I guess this is the idea of the energy drink/booze combo, maybe? I did notice some years ago that the wino-special "Richard's Wild Irish Rose", I think, had a new blend with energy-stuff like gingseng, taurine, etc. So if the 4Loco wasn't bad enough. Now we got the bums and the kids highly drunk and full of "energy"! And for a cheap price. What's the word.....

Many very good points in what you say there.  I indeed have from time to time enjoyed strong black coffee while drinking. I don't even drink coffee on a regular basis, so one cup gets me pretty hopped up.

However, with regards to these energy drinks? My nephew drinks a minimum of 4 red bulls every day. I doubt he's a rare exception.. Nothing good can come from that and I may have missed the whole point of this thread.

So what's the word? I'm pretty sure I am a professional drinker/bodybuilder/long haired rock N roller who loves life. Great booze only magnifies it. No energy drinks needed.

The point was, what booze goes best with Red Bull.  However, I had changed my mind about drinking booze again.  So, since I won't be imbibing, this thread has become a moot point.

I thank everyone who participated and offered some unique and interesting ideas.  I'll take these suggestions under advisement should I re-rethink the matter . . . again lol.

I have never mixed the two.  For me, red bull is reserved for travelling when I do not have my espresso maker handy.  Down one around 15 minutes before bed time and I am good to go.  No point in adding booze to my "sleep aid."
