       In listening to one of the old Art shows on the ol' Streamer--which, Michael, has changed my LIFE, THANK YOU!!--I happened upon one of those unfortunate visits from Doctor Doo himself, Ed "Yeah, sure" Dames. I think I can best sum up my feelings about him, listening back after all these years, with the following words: Oy.

That man is a waste of good air, but its still more entertaining to listen too that George or Ian. Rather hear his garbage. See at least when Art had them, they were at least fun to listen to. Shocking, crazy little man.

I know this is a site for critiquing George, but..

I have to say, I always felt like Art treated Ed Dames with kid gloves. Like...he seemed to let him get by with way more bullshit than any other random guest.

Did anyone else get that feeling too?

and i agree with you.  i get frustrated when i listen to art interviewing dames because the guy is such a fraud and could be so easily dissected if only art would choose to do it.  i'm guessing this is in part because they are friends in their private lives, which has influenced the manner in which art handles him.  but yeah, i have noticed it, too.  good observation.

It's because Art has seen Dames' military records, so he knows Dames is legit.

Seriously speaking though, I read somewhere awhile ago that Art had interests in Dames' company that sold remote viewing home teaching kits, or something like that. Don't have a clue how reliable the info is though.

yeah, i heard that about art and dames' company too.  however, it is nothing but rumor as far as i know.

Exactly how I felt. Like all that gold he was supposed to "bring to his doorstep".. (unless I'm thinking of another guest)...but anyways, yeah, Art asked him numerous times about that and it's always "it's coming in a few months" and Art just sort of seems to laugh it off as with some other of his more insane claims and explanations for claims and so on, so forth. I feel like if Ed were anyone else, Art would have laid the "smack down" pretty fast.

I also didn't know anything about their business relations, but for whatever reasons, it's obvious to me that Art doesn't/didn't view him as the average guest.

well, i see it this way.  david john oates' final interview with art was terminated early because art felt oates' speech reversals were just too "subjective" to continue.  yet dames is a fixture on the show.  wtf.

I agree, it seems that art has his favorite guests and will only go on when their available.

after all unless he begged to get out of his contract or he simply rescheduled, in that case he has 4 shows left...

after all he is jet setting back to the phillipines and on vacations and so forth.

you know... i now think i recall hearing him say something about 2011.  he must have made that prediction a long time ago (maybe back in the 90s), because he would be hard pressed to continue to justify sales of his remote viewing bilge if EVEN HE can't use his "skills."  funny how those years creep on by so quickly.  wonder if he'll scoot that goal post back a few more years when the time comes.  he's engaged in the "scoot" so many times before.  why stop?
