Who else here loves Marijuana?

I love it, but know implicitly it would wind up costing me my job and/or my wife.

When I was baked I wouldn't move for hours.

Cool, I'll check that out. I'm one of the few lost souls who would stay up until 4am Sun nite/Mon morn to listen to "The Grateful Dead Hour". It would take a month of Sundays to hear a full concert.

For you or anyone else interested, here's a good link, mostly streamable/soundboard shows sorted by user rating.  Some don't come up with a player but there's plenty content there if you noodle around.

...I live in Oklahoma so I'm sure we will be one of the last to legalise.. If ever.. KY state is like 1 of 4 States sueing Colorado...

Seems like the social and thus legal view on this is relaxing finally, albeit still incrementally.  Btw if you missed the c2c show recently with the guy who wrote a book on the war on drugs, it's worth a listen despite being a Noory show.

You should neck eccies then.

You'd get promoted inside a week, just be sure to stay hydrated... those fuckers'll dry you out faster than a day in the desert eating Saltines and sandpaper.

...you may also have to have Trance going on  in the background.

You sound like a goddamned terrorist.

"President Bush has declared: "If you quit drugs, you join the fight against terror in America."

But you don't want to defeat the terrorist. You want to support him and offer him aid and shelter by way of taking drugs?

You, sir, belong in Guantanamo Bay where waterboarding, I think you'll find, is not torture.

Shit got all big in that previous post.

Willie, and many others, use this argument and I think most will believe it. Maybe not, initially, for the large corporate agribusinesses making money off subsidized corn for ethanol, etc. But small, family, or farmers in areas harder for some crops (like Kentucky which is perfect for growing marijuana) would prefer growing it than meth-heads living in their midsts stealing their fertilizer etc to "cook" and committing crime, having harder crops to grow and dealing with government/futures-market price manipulation, the weather, or even (maybe) resorting to fracking to make a good buck (depending on how this volatile oil price drop goes), etc.)

The C2C show recently was good but I'm not sure I buy the "Iron Law of Prohibition" for marijuana unless one includes industrial/agricultural hemp with relatively low-THC in that equation. Then CERTAINLY it applies.

And if I can't peacefully smoke a natural plant in the privacy of my own home then at least stop telling me how damn free I am all the time.

I don't know honestly, it kinda made sense to me though.  The weirdest thing is I'm actually thinking of buying his book which only happens like once or twice a year for me with c2c guests.

Yeah, same. Or at least get it at the library (that way I not only get to read it more cheaply, use my tax dollars to support a library (which is a good thing), save trees, and get higher employment at the NSA by getting on their list when they surveillance people's library borrowing!!!!)

Having lived in a time where it was totally legal I don't buy into the "Iron Law of Prohibition." For alcohol it applies. Don't think for other stuff. Maybe for initial downstream importation only. In fact the high THC, or at least moral scare of it, caused changes to the coffee shop laws and also made, at least, to my knowledge, the sales of mushrooms, X, etc more illegal in "smart shops" (though that was more for links to crime and drug-tourism.)

I'm fond of the eccies in moderation, but one big problem I have with weed is that it leads people to assume that other drugs are similarly innocuous... not true.

However, alcohol is the Gateway Drug. That's the one you see your parents enjoying, that's where you learn the idea of changing brain chemistry for fun.

Much wisdom here.

Dude! I can't believe you quit smoking. Before I read that, I would of bet real money you'd die with a cigarette between your fingers. That's my plan and I'm no quitter.

Believe me, I'm more surprised than my friends are by my sudden putting down of the rollies. Giving the old lungs a rest from combusticating old man tobacco AND the hooter. Thank gosh for medibles and my little vape pen. Other than occasionally missing the whole ceremony of sitting down outside to take a break and roll and puff, I'll mostly miss 25 years of smelfies, (smoking in awesome places pics- I actually did this, starting on film). Here's one from Feb. 2014, NYC, to commemorate the retired genre.
