I know there are some fan's of this plane around here as am I so when I stumbled on this today I had to share!

This is awesome - I think the engines are LED lined for effect but it really helps visualize the plane while its in the air flying away from you too.

Very awesome!

Now I'm just curious if the same principles of design in engine work, could be made to make this plane the fastest even in R/C Scale...I would think without the heat stretching of the planes skin and the fuel leakage because of the design taking this into account that the scale model version could be a little superior in this respect   :D

in the 70s i got to see one of the real ones do a victory roll over the runway in Kadina. it was gliding.. at least no engine noise... until it went vertical after the roll. i get goose bumps recalling it.

Nice, I got see my share of planes coming and going during my 8 years in the USAF - but seeing it at Lackland and actually being able to stand next to one even if it's just a decoration piece was still awesome.  I bet what you saw was awesome and probably classified back then!

yes it was classified. i've seen it close, but not up close. i could tell many stories from just watching the airfield. hell any military airfield. i once watched an F-4 Phantom do a really tight turn overhead. well, mostly watched.... up until i noticed the plane getting bigger and bigger in my view. then i was running. i've been told the F-4 was nothing more than a tank with wings. that aircraft dropped like a rock doing that tight little turn. then it roared on its merry way. shit.  8)

anywho...

would i be correct about you calling into DM and mentioning Misawa? i was deployed there years ago with VP-9. had a hell of a time. ran around with a lot of the USAF people. was even a member of the Misawa Maskers putting on M.A.S.H.  learned about Wesson parties  8)  discovered the base armory.... exploded stuff... fired my first M-16. awesome snow. awesome crater lake. awesome earthquakes. just a great place on and off base.

but the truth is.... you lay down a a 10'x10' heavy silver mylar sheet on a smooth wood floor.... dump just enough cooking oil to remove any functional friction... get naked.... find that young 5'4' dark haired teacher.... and hang on cuz it's gonna be a demolition derby on ice. great fun.

i do not know why my brain liked this, but i am glad i wasn't drinking anything hot at the end of the vid   8)

Zappa Interview Today Show 1993

Don't know how I  missed this EToZ, but this is one interview I've never seen. I first saw Zappa when I was a very impressionable 13 year old. His music made a lasting impression on me, plus he really was a nice man as well as a brilliant musician, despite the fact that he tried to get my friend and myself kicked out of the venue for being underage, lol. He's one of those who really did leave the party way too young. Thanks for posting this.

The "Simon's Cat" videos are pretty clever....

I will have to shamelessly post something I've made that's recently got passed the 1mil viewcount  Im pretty proud of it.  It's called The Apple Tree.

The Apple Tree Feat. The Glitch Mob

Shortly after making that. I began work on its evil twin sister; First Strike.   It was a darker edit.  Hope you enjoy guys!
This one hasn't broke 1mil yet. its around 700k  I think.
