Hanky Alert.

2010 Rolling Thunder annual Memorial Day event in D.C. to honor fallen veterans.

For the past few years of the rally, this Marine has stood a lone vigil to represent the Missing Man.  He holds the standing salute for over 3 hours as all the biker veterans silently ride by.

Rolling Thunder - A Marine's Vigil

In 2010 he had broken his hand the day before.  He refused to have it casted until after the rally because he wouldn't have been able to wear a glove on his right hand for dress uniform.

A Marine holds a salute for 3 hours, without moving?! That is dedication. And love. God bless 'em all.

Best thing on the internet.
(What American English sounds like to non-English speakers)
Whaa...aa...aaa? Maybe it's my old man ears, but, while it sounded vaguely familiar, I heard something about "frozen" early on, and then nothing cognizable or coherent thereafter. But it had a good beat and it was easy to dance to, so I'd give it an 89, Dick. (Boy have  I dated myself.)

It gets stuck in my head for days every time I hear it.  ;D

Here's a version that tries to match lyrics to it.

Wasn't sure whether to post this in Addictive Youtube Stuff, or in Things That Bring Me Joy.  Either one applies for me.  This video of hundreds of baby leatherback turtles hatching and making their way to the sea.   At times in the video it almost looks like volcanic lava erupting from the sand.  Love this.

It is great. We need more people just out randomly dancing.

That was beautiful. I love watching that crazy physics in sports. Golf is also very impressive.
