Not taking sides, like SOME exploit both so I go with people, and have mistrust of others, but THE Ukraine, is Spain. Hopefully, not the same old but history repeats. Place of testing ground, using up arsenals, fixing markets, and various exploitations- a few good novels. Hope it ends there and not like others turns worse, so called 'world.'

The U.S. is one of several Western countries with military special forces on the ground in Ukraine, leaked documents show

Quote from: https://fortune.com/2023/04/12/us-nato-special-forces-military-ukraine-leaked-documents/
...The BBC reported on Wednesday that among dozens of those files—some of which were marked "top secret"—was a revelation that the U.S. had 14 special operatives in the war-torn country.

Fellow NATO member states Latvia, France, and the Netherlands had 17, 15, and one special operative in Ukraine respectively, according to the report. The U.K. had the largest contingent of special forces in the country, the BBC reported, with 50 troops on the ground...

This one is from tomorrow (at the time of this post, it is technically tomorrow {13APR2023} in 'Stralia) via ABC:

VIDEO: Leaked documents claim US, UK and French special forces in Ukraine

The unverified documents allege special forces have been deployed to Ukraine, but it's not clear what role any troops are playing in the conflict.

There are other stories out there about this Classified Document Leak, I gather that it is only the above mentioned 14 US Soldiers (SOCOM? USARMY 160th? SEALS? Nautical Shore?) who are assisting the US Marine Corps in guarding the US Embassy in Kiev.

Or they are monitoring the weapons shipments to make sure they are not making their way to the Black Market?

Maybe both, but certainly not doing anything that involves sharp-pointy-end-of-the-spear type battlefield operations/combat.  Everyone knows THAT sort of stuff is outside their normal mission operations.  It is completely legit, nothing to see hear?

A few headlines from a year ago (23MAY2022):

Pentagon Weighs Deploying Special Forces to Guard Kyiv Embassy

Quote from: https://www.wsj.com/articles/pentagon-weighs-deploying-special-forces-to-guard-kyiv-embassy-11653237183

WASHINGTON--U.S. military and diplomatic officials are weighing plans to send special forces to Kyiv to guard the newly reopened embassy there...  PAYWALL

For those poor Democrat/Communists that cannot afford an elitist publication like the WSJ, I give you the fake Communist Noose Network's article from the same day:

Biden admin considering sending US special operations forces to protect US embassy in Kyiv

Quote from: https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/23/politics/us-embassy-kyiv-special-operations-forces/index.html

...US Marines typically guard US embassies around the world, but in Kyiv, for now, there is a general agreement that the typical Marine Corps embassy guard personnel may not be suited to the uncertain security picture in Ukraine without additional forces, officials say...

Obviously the US Gyrine Corp is historically weak and incapable of such a herculean task as guarding a US Embassy in a country where a local conflict is going on.  Just ask Pal1991, if he is asleep just punch him in the vagina:  that'll wake him up...  Anyway, clearly Special Forces are required here.  We must protect our Ambassadors and see to it that NO WEAPONS CAN CONCEIVABLY END UP ON THE BLACK MARKET OR IN TERRORIST HANDS (allegedly) whether it be Kiev or Benghazi.

It is the right thing to do, and a good way to do it.

To put it simply:

The Latvian, Dutch, French, and Britisher SpecForces are probably guarding their respective Embassies as well, I imagine.  Nautical Shore?
