While you may score that how you wish on your own score-card, Pud:  I think the "Safety" in football is a better way to fill out the box score with this one;  worth 2 points rather than soccer's "Own Goal" which is only 1 point.

Off subject- but it is Bellgab- how these elite schools, which I support because, at least until recently, teach the standard Western Canon, Classics, and such, also end up having so many media, business, and such personalities- but often also conflicted families and drama. Maybe being 'sent away' for early schools is not, always good? Or are they sent away for a family reasons besides a good education? I don't know. It is odd though that a lot of the so-called Leftist or Mainstream sent their own kids to private, religious, or distant schools, not public ones (in the American use of public- which is opposite of the English use of term) that separate dorms by "form and sex." But they seem to advocate the exact opposite, in all ways, in our public schools where sex/gender should be mixed-up and Classics etc not taught. Weird.

We're mostly in agreement, lol. At this point, I think Western Canon survives in those institutions only as a means for understanding what you've been tasked with dismantling; so the 'safe' signaling registers the parasitized. At least that was my experience in Academia.

I'm sure some will dispute. But even modern writers like C.S. Lewis has great thoughts on this. One should always try to 'know' the 'enemy, and operate as such. Not that everything is a battle. Haha. But the approach, and he was more kind than, shall we say, the Oriental, 'Others,' or some various and sundry in a certain Dark Continent. Oddly, some those types are effective but a spiral of just more mayhem. Which is why "Diversity is Strength" and useful for 'some.' Unspecified, of course.
