Quote from: Yorkshire pud on November 03, 2022, 10:05:01 AMNot at all. Thing is a graduate with those qualifications can pick and choose their career; Should they take a job at a huge corporation and earn a few million over the years ahead...or, train for three years to be a pilot with no gaurantee they'll be selected to go on to be a fast jet fighter jockey. Be shunted around the world at a moments notice, possibility of being killed in action and not get paid anywhere near the rewards of being a civvy....hmmm.

Ah:  greed, cowardice, and a profound lack of a sense of civic duty;  instead of congenital inbred stupidity is the problem?

I see;  now tell us about your thoughts on the recent loss of your Queen Mother:  are you experiencing "daddy issues" with your new Kaaang Vater?

Does his Naval Impotence disturb you?

You may consider the above questions rhetorical, as you typically do, if they bother you.

Oh stop it. You're being silly again.

I'm ambivalent about the whole thing. Funny thing is, Americans make more of a thing about visiting London and the palaces than I ever did or will. Been a dozen or so times (mainly work related), don't like the place.

As I recall, I was driven around London when I visited.

I think it had something to do with the smell?

I did get to see the White Cliffs of Dover and the countryside west of there on the long detour, ended up in Canterbury and returned on a different route.

Besides Rabbit and Ham Pie (some sort of delicious savory pastry) and a seaside Golf Course, all I recall was that Hard Cider was available in a 3L bottle like it was Mountain Dew!

Pretty cool thirty six hours after the TransAntlantic flight, even got to share a tent with a pair of hawt German girls...

I only wish we could have gone NORTH TO ALASKA Scotland, sadly I haven't ever been able to visit any subjugated Anglish colonies other than Ireland during a brief layover in Shannon during my military travels...

Cheers!

What are ya'll up to S.V.? China decides they are ready for a little pay back and you are fighting the Dragon. I guess if it really kicks off, China has to try and neutralize Diego Garcia anyways so what the hell. Are those Astute boats of yours any good? All I know about them really is that dude got tanked up on apple jack and wasted some guys on one of them.

Never mind. Seems like your Vanguard boats spontaneously combust.
