Quote from: K_Dubb on September 29, 2022, 10:44:04 AMTrump is a man of peace, now he is offering to give Ukraine back to Pootie the way he gave Afghanistan back to the Taliban but Biden will not let Trump be great  :(

It was Biden who did that. 🙄

Quote from: K_Dubb on September 28, 2022, 06:33:04 PMThat is interesting, I know three fingers are used in blessing by priests or crossing oneself which is sort of the same gesture turned inward, I wonder where simply raising the right hand when swearing an oath comes from.  Checking Washington's inauguration it appears to be the full hand, either raised or left hand over heart, the other on the Bible.

I watched one of the rallies where the crowd was doing this gesture, strongly reminiscent of altar-call moment in church when I was a kid.  Soft music plays, the speaker intones in a markedly different cadence, you expect Pastor Trump to invite anyone wishing to convert to slip up to the platform so an elder can pray with them, very odd.

I've heard that in the good old days criminals would sometimes be branded on his hand and showing the hand to the judge would be a quick way of determining if the person before the court had previous convictions. I don't know if this is true.

Trumpykins going to the Supremes to get his classified documents back -- to Clarence Thomas as fate would have it lmao 🍿👀

If he can't get a win here, all that court-packing was for nothing

K_Dubb

Well, now we know why he had the documents 🤷

QuoteOn Saturday, Haberman and Michael Schmidt dropped a new one, reporting that Trump effectively wanted to use the Mar-a-Lago documents as hostages — to procure other secret documents:

Mr. Trump, still determined to show he had been wronged by the F.B.I. investigation into his 2016 campaign's ties to Russia, was angry with the National Archives and Records Administration for its unwillingness to hand over a batch of sensitive documents that he thought proved his claims.

In exchange for those documents, Mr. Trump told advisers, he would return to the National Archives the boxes of material he had taken to Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Fla.

Trump Told Aides He Would Trade Documents He Took To Mar-a-Lago For FBI's Russia Files

this is not going to end well  :(

Oaf Beepers keeping their oaths in their usual fashion

Rhodes: "Speaking of fucking...if you need some come on over."

SoRelle said she couldn't. Rhodes said he'd "drag you into bed later."

SoRelle "That's how I know you're trouble. You're too good at what you do. Whole bad boy thing. I am a damn moth to a (flame emoji)"

Ha! Though he wasn't advocating the alleged 'invasion' or 'insurrection' he does have some history of problematic tribal connections (ex-wife, lawyers, etc.) So could've been used like the Jan 6th version of Operation Trust. I also ran into once decades ago at a gunshow and he was shouting down the NeoNazis there who were trying to leverage the OJ case for their views on jungle fever and, somehow, Joose.. The usual stuff. But signal and noise etc for AJ. A lot of people are lumpenproletariat, useful idiots, cannon-fodder, and such. As a Leftist, you know the drill. Whether the French Revolution history, the French-trained Cambodian, the NDSAP and Night of Long Knives, or now here. The internal purges for a Great Leap Forward or maybe Two Steps Forward, and One Back. And so on. Nothing new.

That he got so much attention is amazing, maybe a part of the plot. Who knows? So I gotta root for local-boy-done-good in turning free Access TV show into a fortune. And he is entertaining but needed to go within limits. The predetermined verdicts, of course, are ridiculous, for speech, but that is their plan also to use the system against itself, but using the system to defend, enrich themselves. Ultimately once the country is bled out, move on.

I think they are still planning to use him, that whole thing where his phone data was "accidentally" released to the Feds by his defamation-trial lawyer was just cover for his cooperation the whole time  8)

They play the long game and hold serious grudges. Understandable and nobody disputes their cleverness or duplicity. AJ should be suing some of his lawyers. And, that, again, might be a part of their plan. I love the billboard, from a lawfirm, prominent on I-10. "We Sue Lawyers." Serpents and vipers sometimes even eat their own, if easier prey not available.

Oh no I am pretty sure this one was at his instigation, sure I turned over incriminating stuff guys but it was my lawyer's fault oh no, the weewee-pumpers will buy it but nobody else, that is the flimsiest cover story I have ever heard.  He was playing both sides the whole time, classic double agent, unless you have a parachute plan of your own you will end up getting sucked dry by your handlers, and he is a man of gross appetites, easy prey.

They have him right where they want him now, his judgments will be sold off to vulture firms to hound him the rest of his life, will be like OJ living hand-to-mouth, will say anything for anyone for a few bucks or flimsy guarantee of protection, easily manipulated.  The only thing he has to sell is his audience.

Due to weird laws and regulations the debt vultures in Spain dress up and hound people. Actually sort of funny, essentially like a gang-stalking but dress up and just show up in places. Apparently a tuxedo/dinner suit is used mostly. And they infiltrate, silent when debtors go to places. To shame them when they ignored legal services. And due to the vagaries of the Spanish system an easier way to collect than via to court system. Was, maybe still is, a real thing. I think OJ doing ok. Certainly better than prison and still can play golf (in places that aren't exclusive.)

If Trumpykins is charged for his desperate power grab the "conspiracy to defraud the US" charge might be the one they use to nail him, here appearing in an actual court ruling.

Judge: Trump signed court document that knowingly included false voter fraud stats

Quote"Although the President signed a verification for [the state court filing] back on Dec. 1, he has since been made aware that some of the allegations (and evidence proffered by the experts) has been inaccurate," Eastman wrote in an email to colleagues. "For him to sign a new verification with that knowledge (and incorporation by reference) would not be accurate."

However, Trump and his lawyers opted to file the federal complaint using the same numbers that Eastman conceded were inaccurate.

"President Trump, moreover, signed a verification swearing under oath that the incorporated, inaccurate numbers 'are true and correct' or 'believed to be true and correct' to the best of his knowledge and belief," added Carter, an appointee of President Bill Clinton. "The emails show that President Trump knew that the specific numbers of voter fraud were wrong but continued to tout those numbers, both in court and to the public. The Court finds that these emails are sufficiently related to and in furtherance of a conspiracy to defraud the United States."

I think this is the same California judge responsible for characterizing it as "a coup in search of a legal theory", now because atty-client privilege doesn't cover you when you crime or fraud, has identified the underlying crime that permits him to release that goofy Eastman guy's emails, who was on stage Jan 6 and I think Jan 5 the night before as well.

I think it unfair for you to expect drump to be able to keep abreast with who is his current lawyer, who the judges are and what day of the week it is, all at the same time!! Damn your impossible expectations.
