Putin had his troops invade a sovereign country, namely Ukraine, unwanted and unprovoked (Other than having a democratically elected government, anathema to Putin) and having murdered several 1000 civilians and wiped out entire cities, Putin has found he's running out of troops who actually know what to do and equipment that still functions.

Now, MD either knows this and pleads ignorance or he's just an idiot and hasn't the intelligence to find out what 99% the rest of the planet already knows. Either way he needs an intervention, because this can't be a good thing.
