When you listen to the version used in the 90s and early 2000s before Premiere firmly implanted its talons into the program, a different version of the song was used. One that I cannot find anywhere..

I think those were effects he added himself? The words 'phase shift' and 'overdrive' seem to want to be typed here but, as those who remember my music posts can attest, I am no sound engineer.

I'm watching a documentary on HBO Max about Heaven's Gate.  There's a segment where they play clips of Art Bell's show.  It's weird randomly watching something on HBO and hearing the voice of someone you interacted with on so many occasions.

For those who might be interested, someone has a website called 'The Saucer Life' covering UFO topics. If you check out the show archive for 2022 he did a show all about Art Bell and the Lear test. I'd post the link but this insufferably pissyarsed site drops its knitting and refuses to let me.

I don't know what you think of Testament but they put out this really good animated music video in 2020.

It tells the story of Heaven's Gate. It has Marshall Applewhite as well as an appearance by Halebop. The story is told with a beginning, middle, and end.
