Some companies are working on specific vaccines for each variant, likely to position themselves in case one becomes the dominant strain.   I understand right there is a "very small probability" it will need to be a new vaccine every year like the flu, given to vulnerable people and health-care workers, most of whom get an annual shot anyway.

I gotta ask.  What is a 'small probability?'  One in a million is not the same as one in a thousand.

Hell I would be happy with something less than 50:50.  But even if it required a new vaccine every year like the flu, that is manageable and not that different from what we are doing now.

I used to have to get the flu shot every year working (only tangentially) for a large hospital and never had a problem.  But with covid you have a lot of people who never thought of getting a vaccine before wondering if they should, and you have people like doc who (rather surprisingly for a medical man) don't understand how vaccines work -- they are intended to trigger an immune response to get you to manufacture antibodies, and for some people that includes other elements like fever which we call "sick" but are really just your body heating up to kill off viruses.  That's why medical people who know don't take aspirin or other fever-breakers since that is shooting yourself in the foot.

Well yeah I think you can expect the companies who make vaccines to continue to try to sell them just like other medications by panicking people with advertising, since we are still very much a free-market health system and caveat emptor.

I agree there is no global conspiracy, but there is a slightly tested “vaccine” using a new technology that may or may not give you immunity for 3-6 months unless it doesn’t.   Do some research on earlier animal experiments with this technology, they are sobering.  I will admit that if we get a handle on this technology it could eliminate a lot of horrible disease but I prefer not to be an early adopter.  Who voted you the arbiter of what is real and what is conspiracy?

Thanks, that does seem rational.  I have no problem being a guinea pig, when I worked for the hospital you could volunteer for studies all the time for gift cards, it was sweet.

No, you idiot. Covid was used to change election procedures and laws (mail-in voting) so that your globalists could steal the election. Now that’s done and so is this covid op. They will keep it going to some degree for control purposes though. Then they can just wheel it back out whenever they need to. Like, for example, if we start thinking for ourselves too much and start asking too many inconvenient questions.
