You know, for someone who couldn't tell me what was wrong with Voxer, as recently a few months ago, you sure are making up for lost time. At least you're not obsessing over the 'Rona so much anymore, it would seem. Or is this what you're distracting yourself from that with?

In any case, I admire your devotion to cause, which mirrors my own in several ways except... well, any. Still, at least you are keeping busy, which is more than I can say for some people.

Hail Hydra.

While I try to keep up on 'Rona, I've never been obsessed with it.  I've always thought of Dr. Paul Cottrell as a fear monger.

I enjoyed listening to him make the somewhat-ungraceful transition from it's going to kill us all doom to eh go out no problem herd immunity.  He seems to be chasing an audience, one with very short memories.

ikr?

I resisted the urge to type paragraphs of commentary, but his 180 during his last appearance on TMDP did not go unnoticed.

Haha, I didn't watch the videos because if the poster can't summon the energy to summarize it or give an opinion, or at least tell me why I should watch it, I can't be bothered to summon the energy to watch it. If you could point to the video you commented on I'll watch it. Herd immunity is pretty much a kill us all or at least a lot of us option, so pretty much the same thing.

Here is Rachel Maddow running the numbers, it starts at 1 minute 52 seconds into the video and goes for about six minutes :

Maddow on Trump's statement about herd immunity, "I thought he was just random generating syllables" lol " but now he's repeating it."

I looked at this website: https://checkyourfact.com/2020/09/22/fact-check-rachel-maddow-math-coronavirus-deaths-herd-immunity/ which put's the number of deaths from herd immunity a lot lower but still a large enough number to balk at: 1.4 million.

Oh there is no single video, honey; I was referring to a series of appearances on The Michael Decon Program where his emphasis shifts markedly.

I think we first learned of Dr. Cottrell from Walks back in the spring.

I should say, in the good Doctor's defense, that changing perspective is a wholly reasonable response to new information but his agility in this case left me breathless.  From laughing.

Would be wild if he caught it.

Oh no I assume that, when someone posts a lot of videos, he is just trying to annoy me.  Much as I am persuaded that, by continuing to talk about Dr. Paul Cottrell in the brand spanking new"Tech/Business/Law" thread, I am driving brig mad with rage and that she is is dancing about her apartment gnashing her teeth and tearing her hair in fury.  Eventually I plan to bring the discussion around to fruitcake and hopefully send her over the edge for good.

Yep. I found Dr. Paul back in the spring when he had no more than about 100 subscribers and he had some panic stricken Father on the horn with a young child in the ICU with the coof.  I think most would have sloughed the caller off with "You really need to consult with the Pediatrician's on site there" but he waded right on in and handled the crisis with complete confidence.

I'm still trying to figure out how he is attending medical school at Harvard when he lives in NYC. It's not like taking an online class down at the Community College. There are cadavers and such.

Don't feel so bad, I'm sure she's happy someone posted in her thread. I think I can help you with the whole fruitcake discussion problem. I too want to make one but they don't have all the ingredients at the local store so it's something I'll have to source over the internet and it's way too late to start making fruitcake in time for X-mas. I want to make the kind that you soak with bourbon once a week for a few months. It was an old-timey recipe that I found on the internet a few years ago. I can't find it at the moment but I'll keep looking.
