yeah some of the links made me think as well... links to old C2C shows... and C2C theme music... granted Art was the creator of C2C...

So my completely unfounded guess is that Art is buying the C2C brand name back and George has an "unprecedented"  contract to host Beyond Belief... I'll just throw that big pot of crazy against the wall and see what sticks

So to re-cap and generally sum up where we are at in this discussion:
I bow to your brilliance!

Oh, and my apologies to Al.

It's okay.  But, here's the face of a Clear Channel exec today

Looking at the source code, it's moved from 25% to 35%, and now to 50%.
Just to add times,
25% was posted at 5:55 pm yesterday
35% at 1:12 am today; and
50% at 2:30 pm today.

Someone else can do the math this time.

I'm still predicting an announcement around the time Noory goes to air Monday night, or at Midnight in the Desert (Monday night)

Oohh... an announcement at midnight in the desert... clever... I like that.

Disheartened

Gee guys! Art's doing a radio show, not digging ditches.

The meter just changed again!

I AM SO EXCITED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The announcement must be coming forthwith.  I am still holding onto my original theory that it will be tomorrow.

I am literally PRAYING that Art's new show will take the place of Red Eye Radio and I can once again hear him loud and clear on KSFO, the strongest AM station in San Francisco, where c2c used to air from until it was kicked off the air when the station decided to drop Rush Limbaugh and they then had to drop c2c as well since it was a package.

We're under the A and approaching the G. HOLD ON TO YOUR SEATS!!!! ;D

In true Art Bell fashion he is creating excitement by being playful which I find to be one of his most endearing qualities.  I am as excited as a kid before Christmas!     ;D

Very well put and me, too.  I'm so distracted by “all this”…. can’t get anything done around the house.  All I can do is read Coastgab and hover over the green bar.

Playing out right now on ArtBell.com is a brilliant example of Viral Marketing to his loyal fan base.

It's important to remember Art's favorite movie is "Contact" from which the now famous line, "Wanna take a ride?" originated.  As a matter of fact the sequence of events on Art's website are playing out very much like the movie.

First there was the cryptic message in Morse Code (the alien beacon signal from space).....

There was a two or three week lead up to the Morse Code as well.

It started with a single question mark, replaced by an exclamation point, and then three exclamation points.  I was just curious if this plays into the Contact scenario as well.

New question for everyone here...

Most likely Art and Keith are going to have a message board on Art's site when it goes live. Is everyone going to sign up and post there, or just continue to post here exclusively?

I would post in both message boards.  For sure.

I keep expecting Art to appear on artbell.com and start talking to us.

I hope he'll appear on CoastGab once the announcement is made.

The big question for me is: Cumulus or Sirius? The renewal of his AM license leans me towards Cumulus, but Sirius would be paying more. Likely a LOT more.

Here's what I do know.

Art is an investment to a radio network. Period.

At 68 going on 69, given his past history of smoking, and any other undisclosed health issues, anyone looking to invest in Art for big bucks would require a pretty damn good guarantee on their investment. I don't see any entertainment company investing in the likes of someone like Art for "Big Bucks", certainly not 8 or 9 figures as speculated by "KINGOTNW". 68 is the maximum age some life insurance companies will issue a policy.

It's not unreasonable to believe Art may come back full time, but I seriously doubt it will be for an epic amount of money.

I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up on SIRIUS either.

That may indeed be the case, and if so I would bet Cumulus, or whatever parent company that is signing Art on, would have required him to have a full physical.  If he passed that physical, which he probably did (he has lost 20-30 pounds since his last retirement, I'll bet, judging from the photos of him on his FB page, and from those same photos he looks very vital and 10 years younger than his actual age),... then Cumulus/whoever would then have no qualms about signing him for at least a couple of years (after Art passed the physical),... with an option to renew after those two years were up.

Shockwave

Don't think he will have anything to do with C2C or premier. Premier doesn't deserve to have a deal with Art...

MV/Liberace!

Calm down, everyone. I just spoke to Art via email. He's opening a Piggly Wiggly in Pahrump. Airyn will manage the carts. Half off tomatoes on opening day. Be there or be square.

The scene, the Polo Club in Cali.  Noory at the bar with a Merlot in his hand, Producer in a new slinky outfit.

Noory:  Jeez, this Bell guy needs to come back more often.  My suck quota of posts has really cooled down.  That must mean I do not suck as much.

Bartender:  Another Merlot?

Noory:  Merlot for the club, Bell is back and the sucks are down.

Very good point, MikeJ.  And as I recall, WWII was going on at the time that Churchill came to be the PM of the UK and he was having to work 16+ hour days.  And all this while smoking cigars and drinking scotch daily.  And yet STILL lived to be 90.  So, as I see it, whether a person can still work vigorously at the age of 68 very much depends on the person.  And Art, to me, has always come across as incredibly vital (despite the bad back, which may very well have improved by his 10 years of leisure, losing some weight, and maybe even the right kind of exercising.... who knows).

Tomatoes to be used in Noory's next scheduled parade at some obscure suburb of Los Angeles.  Next, Noory parade in Tiuajuana.
