I hope Falkie is wrong about U7radio.  I listen to them all the time.
Imagine that. Snorty is worried about a radio legend that hasn't been on the air for the last five years.

I bet you Snorty's got a little weiner too.

I get that the bumper music is part of the branding of what you do Art. The bumper music is fantastic and helped made the show what it was. As fans, we just want to heart you on the radio again. You are the greatest, we spent thousands of hours with you and we hate what C2C has become.

It's the host that counts and I think that most of us don't care if you have it or not. If it's that important to you, then you need to have it.

Bumper music has certainly not helped George to become a better host or any of the other hosts that they have had for that matter, albeit George Knapp.

Whatever direction you choose to go, it's been a great ride with you.

Art,

If the music licensing thingy doesn't work out, start small and let it grow. Build it and they will come and they will come in a hurry. As someone else mentioned, Dreamland had one frigging song and look how well the program did.

Be cool Art.

A tech support dude once quipped:  "At Radio Shack, you have questions, we have stupid looks."

You haven't seen stupid until you ask a Walmart employee to help you find something.

If your IQ is over 60 and you want to work at Walmart, forget about it.....

why should I do that? I'm sure you know they're all just making shit up, or copying shit others made up. Best to improvise.
It's nice that u r so passionate about what you do. It's clearly evident. How many radio personalities can say they lost 12 million listeners?

I find it fascinating that the Snorty Patrol has shown up here in the last week. It's obvious that they can't compete with a legend and they know it.

The thing that irritates me about Art is that he has brought us down this road so many times before. Before getting all of us in a dither, couldn't he have done his due diligence and then once when all his ducks were lined up and he was sure that he was going to start a new show, then he could have announced for a fact the the new show was going to be on.

I don't want to sound like a wuss, but I almost feel like we are getting abused. Really Art?

Art,

It's the Art of Talk and not the Art of Music. As others have said, Dreamland was a home-run. Do that format. Just get on the radio and start talking. Build it and they will come.

Come on Art, kip it simple.

Question. Why can Whitley still play the lead intro on his website????

Technology / LinkedIn Big Brother Question
February 11, 2015, 01:22:57 AM
So me and wifey poo bought a lot to build a retirement house on in Idaho. We live in California now. I use LinkedIn as a business tool and I am very active on it. We bought the piece of property in June and when I opened my Outlook at work this morning I get an email from LinkedIn asking me if I would like to change my residence location to Boise?

Does anyone know how this can happen? I know the purchase of property is public record, but really?

I am sort of steamed about it.

lol, twitter would be like @georgenorry; "Art's going to kick my ass"

I'm betting Art would avoid said "Art Bell convention" like the plague. Having fans online is one thing, having them too close to home is another thing altogether.
Does this mean that the Art Bell Barbeque at Art's house is a non-starter?

I don't know of a donkey around that would let George suck their balls.

Remember when Art had open lines? Almost every caller asked: "Is this Art Bell". Probably because they were so excited to talk to Art. No one asks George the same question because the callers are praying that another guest picks up the phone. Caller: "Is this George Noory?"  George: "Well yes it is." Caller: "Shit, I was hoping it was George Knapp".

I used to feel the same way about dames way back when, but he's such a arrogant BS artist that I just can't stomach to listen to any more of his non sense. The last time I heard him on I couldn't help but make snide comments after everything he said and turned my radio off after a few minutes of his BS. Even the way he talks infuriates me.

Ukraine is the safest place! - What a stupid sack of excrement.

Yah, Ed kind of likes himself a little too much ;) Looking at Ed's website, it looks like he has no shortage of suckers.

BTW, I am jealous that you have a Bonanza... ;D

I feel the same way about Dames. Dames is science fiction with a capital S. What he says doesn't matter, it's how he says it. This is why I love Dames.

Just have to Bring up again how horrendous it is to listen to norry butcher interview after interview and how much I look forward to hearing Art again.

I simply don't understand how someone as clueless and talentless can keep on and on and on.

I feel better now.
Snorty is the epitome of the corporate guy that doesn't do shit and makes it to the top. He has reaped the rewards of all of Art's hard work and the intellectual property that Art developed. You just gotta know that Snorty has a set of knee pads in every color. He's gotta be giving the whole leadership team mostache rides.

I'm rather surprised that Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush"  never made it to Art's bumper music list.

The live version from Rust Never Sleeps absolutely kicks ass. The lyrics are so applicable to what Art covers:

Well, I dreamed I saw the knights
In armor coming,
Saying something about a queen.
There were peasants singing and
Drummers drumming
And the archer split the tree.
There was a fanfare blowing
To the sun
That was floating on the breeze.
Look at Mother Nature on the run
In the nineteen seventies.
Look at Mother Nature on the run
In the nineteen seventies.

I was lying in a burned out basement
With the full moon in my eyes.
I was hoping for replacement
When the sun burst thru the sky.
There was a band playing in my head
And I felt like getting high.
I was thinking about what a
Friend had said
I was hoping it was a lie.
Thinking about what a
Friend had said
I was hoping it was a lie.

Well, I dreamed I saw the silver
Space ships flying
In the yellow haze of the sun,
There were children crying
And colors flying
All around the chosen ones.
All in a dream, all in a dream
The loading had begun.
They were flying Mother Nature's
Silver seed to a new home in the sun.
Flying Mother Nature's
Silver seed to a new home.

I prefer the moody blues intro, its more energetic:

Does anyone recall the terminator themed bumper music that Art had?  I think it was a commercial or parody. Was REALLY COOL!!!

For me, The Chase sets the mood for what Art does best.

Art,

You really need to have Moroder's Chase as your intro song. You need to take it back from C2C and everything else they stole from you.
