I was disappointed when a caller asked about how vampires would react to a zombie invasion, and neither Ian or the guest put two and two together and realized that zombies were the #1 threat to the vampire food source and clearly vampires would NOT "team up" with zombies, as I think Ian suggested.  There's a whole graphic novel on this subject (http://lastblood.net), but apparently the guest studied MARVEL ZOMBIES instead.

The author was on C2C a few months ago, if I remember correctly, talking about the new BIBLE CODE book.

I love UFO Phil's "Listening To Coast To Coast."  That "Tell Us A Story Noory" song makes it sound like the greatest song ever produced in the history of man or beast, instead of just the fun, catchy song it is.

I love how Hoagland is constantly making Noory fill-in-the-blanks to see if he's paying attention.  Noory is clearly very annoyed that he has to think outside of his canned questions!

Noory just now at end of Friday's Christmas show, speaking of Art Bell: "He's winding down, folks, he's WINDING DOWN... I don't anticipate he'll do any more shows."

Another caller just brought up THE FOURTH KIND *again*, claiming it was a fact-based story, and Noory did nothing to correct him.  You'd think he'd have Wikipedia'd it by now!

Oh, and I loved the caller who pointed out that Basiago's stories were a combination of various sci-fi movies and TV shows, and Basiago replied that he rarely watched sci-fi as he found it boring.  But he seemed to reference a lot of sci-fi before that.  And his description of the way in which he was projected back to dinosaur times was virtually identical to the holodeck from STAR TREK: TNG.  Not only was he claiming that during the '60s the government was secretly sending hundreds of children through time and space, he also claimed in the 1960s that the government had a HOLODECK.

I loved Basiago too, though one thing that annoyed me is that George apparently had no memory of his appearance on the show a year ago, because they went over virtually identical ground as last time.  I don't think there was even one new bit of insane information revealed.  Except perhaps the fact that during his childhood trip back in time witness to the Gettysburg address (what an important mission), he was terrified to look at Abe Lincoln's face for some reason.  It's weird details like that that make this guy so compelling.

Producer Tom surprises George by reading a letter of praise on the air!  Noory's being nominated for a PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF RADIO HONOR!  (Or something like that.)

HA!  Also, George just said Andrew D. Basiago will be on tomorrow!  I think he may be my favorite C2C guest of all time.  Three more hours (if Noory doesn't close up shop early again) of stories about the government sending little kids through time and space for no apparent reason.

George Noory just now: "I got my own little group of haters out there too.  That's just the way they are.  They need to move on."

Yeah, talk about adding insult to injury!  Tom must be even lazier than Noory!

What's with Noory ending the show an hour early and cutting to "The Best of George Noory"?  He's so busy he can't spare one hour to finish up the show?  One more hour of open lines isn't gonna kill him.

Also, have you guys noticed that at least a few people have called to ask him about THE FOURTH KIND (most recently tonight), that crappy movie about alien abduction in Alaska that tricks some people into thinking it's based on real events, and George STILL hasn't bothered to look the movie up on Wikipedia and tell these frightened callers that it's a fake?  He's usually pretty quick about Googling stuff on the air, but each time someone asks about this movie he's just like "no, haven't seen it, don't watch movies in theaters much these days, just DVD, [insert rambling about how amazing modern technology is]." 

You'd think a guy who hosts a show that frequently delves into the topic of UFOs and alien abduction, and constantly references movies and TV shows, would've done a bit of research on this $48 million-grossing feature film about UFOs and alien abduction that callers are regularly asking him about on the air.

Hi!  Love listening to Coastgab on my iPhone.

I like Future Theater (http://futuretheater.com/).  It's hosted by Bill Birnes (of UFO HUNTERS and UFO MAGAZINE fame) and his wife.  In the most recent episode, they have an interview with the former NORAD officer who predicted the October 13th UFO sightings.  He got the date from a source he refuses to reveal, and it was was confirmed by the alien ghosts he is able to communicate with, so he ran with it.

Anybody here see Noory calling into Alex Jones' live 27-hour marathon?  It was entertaining.
