Politics / Re: IRS Says 'Lost' Lerner Emails...

Well, we disagree a bit on that part. To me, as a shareholder in some and as a worker, I don't mind if a company succeeds. But by actually producing something, making an honest profit, providing a wanted or needed service. Not by tax code manipulation or on lobbying (or buying) politicians and so by regulatory capture. I have no problem with profit, but want honest profit.

But, you're right, some of all that talent working on taxes (on all sides) will do things in non-profits, charities, businesses, corporations, churches, or even government- or where-ever that will benefit society better.
When did I say I didn't want company xyz to succeed? I just want them to pay their taxes.

One of the biggest thing people don't often think about is the opportunity costs, in addition to all the other costs, with our current system. Think of all the smart, or at least clever, people whose whole job is to either find loop-holes, write loop-holes, and file taxes (and come up with tax-dodging schemes.) All those attorneys, accountants, lobbyists, etc are educated and could be put to good use in other arenas that would be productive to the economy. Or made to dig ditches.
By eliminating loop holes we free those smart people up to do something that benefits people and perhaps serve the greater good.  Instead of a corporation's bottom line. And shareholders.

I'd like to see the IRS torn down to bare bones along with the tax code. A simple flat 10% with no loop holes.

A guy can dream.

I am in a very good mood, which is strange.  Also, inebriated, which is normal. For those that had sent me messages voicing their concern after I mentioned that my mother was sick, I am happy to report that we received some very good news today. We are not done, but the majority of the battle has been won, I am confident that it is all smooth sailing from here.
So glad to hear this

The many named actress who played Shahna, Kirk's thrall in "Gamesters" had a bit part as one of the repo wives in "Repo Man" and also appeared in some adult films, where she did pretty much everything people do in those movies. Or so I've been told.

Art was pretty anti-Clintons and was really against his gun control plans and all the various scandals. He strongly support Newt Gringrich and the "Contract with America" and gloated over the victories that year. But he didn't rant and rave, like Alex, and would have guests on all sides of politics- including very, very fringe people like even William Pierce. But he didn't agree with all his guests but would ask questions, and listen, to all of them (for the most part.) He also had very personal experiences with the immigration system (and the frustrations with it) and was against the illegal immigrant wave. But he also was libertarian on other things contrary to Republican policies. But, again, no ranting or cutting off callers/guests (if they were calm and not hacks or cursing- or things like accusing him of being a pedophile. Which, as we all know, is not only about the worst thing you can accuse someone of but hits close to home personally for him.)

I think if you listen to some of Art's shows from early 2000's he changes his tune.  Post 9/11 the Clinton Presidency era seems like a kind of paradise.  I miss the 90's.

So the question is: how much would it take for you to bang her? Everyone has their price.
Do I have to keep my eyes open? And will there be lube?  I'd need 7 figures.  6 if the lights are off.
