haha thanks!

Tune in to his new show. I'll be promoting the hell out of it.

When in doubt, hit the IMDB. Works for me.

I tried that... Before the show.

His resumé is extensive, but asking him "what was it like," over a hundred times... yeah.

I could clone myself and outsource mental tasking to a small hive mind in order to review every moment of his film history.

I think next time, push it baby! lol Easy for me to say but what can he say but maybe get all mysterious and then you can nibble around the edges lol

Ha! I'll try next time. Maybe as we get closer to the show launch, I'll have others on.

Sounded like a nice interview Amy! I'll have to go back and listen to the whole thing :)

I think we did OK.

I could have had more questions to ask. It's just I don't know what I can legally ask a person who is probably under a lot of non-disclosure stuff about the new show in 2017 and whatnot. Also, trying to tread around potential spoilers.

Was sorta fixed, then got iffy for me again.  You sound fine Amy so's definitely the connection.  I gotta drop out.  :(

My guests are cursed with the worst of internet connections.

I've done everything to try to improve the connection for the guest. It's all hard-wired.

I do like the log lady.  I'm near the end of S1 E3, and I think I've only seen her twice tho.

Log Lady died recently. :(

I think she might have filmed part of her role in the new show though.
Dunno.

Maybe a question for Walter?

Slightly off topic:

Forgot Jerry Hardin (X-Files- Deepthroat) was in an episode of TNG until I re-watched "Time's Arrow" pt 1&2 last night.

He plays a wicked Sam Clemens.  ;D

Lots of crossover from actors of Peaks/X-Files/Trek.

Oh and the guy who plays Dr. Jacoby in Twin Peaks (Russ Tamblyn) did a super bizarre film in 1982 with Neil Young and the band Devo called "Human Highway".

If you've never seen Human Highway and you're into strange film, go watch it after you watch Peaks.

I watched Twin Peaks for the first time snowed-in over a Thanksgiving. I've rewatched it I don't know how many times since.

Never bothered me when the show took a different turn after the first major mystery was solved.
I think it got better with the Windom Earle story in season 2. Kenneth Welsh plays an EXCELLENT nemesis.

Always liked the fact that it was riffing itself as a soap too at times. The odd humor. The sense of a small town trapped in between two worlds both in character subplots and the grand Lynchian bizarre. Each character had sort of a unique and strange story all their own.

Then there's David Duchovny in drag.

And Bowie.

And the not-so-far-fetched idea that Twin Peaks and the X-Files could totally exist in some strange parallel TV universe.

What's there not to like about it?

Wow! I'm so behind with entertainment news (I never watch, read or listen to it actually. It usually makes me kinda nauseous  ;)) that I just heard a short while ago that this was happening. Knowing nothing about the logistics of it I googled to find out that all the originals involved, including Lynch, are dong it. This makes me very happy. It was my favorite show back then...and even when I realized it wasn't going anywhere in particular I still watched and didn't care because once a week I got to be immersed in the dark dream world of David Lynch and that's what it's really about anyway.  ;)

Looking forward to the show, Amy!  :)

Thanks! Hope he is the first of many. Want to have several more on closer to the debut.
Trying to get Dana Ashbrook (Bobby) to call in tonight. Will see what happens.

It's a fight!

Nope I can't. It gets auto-potted down, otherwise I hear an echo of myself speaking.

I hear the echo when I talk over music during the intro and breaks.

Sorry everyone!

I'm not sure if this would solve it but some DI boxes have a ground lift switch on it. Maybe if you run your incoming signal through one you get rid of it.

Yeah I tried to troubleshoot it with him before the show.

No idea what it is. He could be using a USB headset.

Amy, what beverage are you enjoying in your avatar photo?

Just curious.  :)

Just a mocha.

I was in coffee shop in City Centre (Birmingham, UK). The one across from Nando's. Used to be Café Du Monde. I think it has changed names.

Wikipedia says Albert Hofmann was looking for a respiration/ circulation stimulant when he was experimenting on the ergot fungus.

Imitrex is an analog of DMT, which is Psilocibin's kissing cousin.  One of the McKenna brothers I heard once called psilocibin "a more perfect form" of DMT because the stomach doesn't neutralize it when ingested.... That's why ayahuasca is a brew with another chemical that stops this from happening.

I'm deathly allergic to Imitrex. :(

My asthma flares up when different fronts move through.  The reaction is so reliable that a meteorologist at one of my stations would check with me as a backup to his weather data.

Amy, have you tried toomerrric?

I wonder if it has something to do with warmer weather and ground-level ozone. They put out asthma alerts here during the summer.

A doctor told me to try turmeric once.
I told him he should probably retire.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Amy.

My former research advisor in college used to get migraines every summer like clockwork. He isn't sure why.  He takes some type of prescription meds to help with it (can't recall what now).

There can be so many factors which play into migraines. Stress, weather, hypertension, old injuries, perhaps hormones.

During a bad migraine I once developed the hypothesis that vasovagal ones could be triggered by slight fluctuations in Ca(2+) bioavailability.
So far, nobody has been able to measure Ca(2+) homeostasis in migraineurs mid-episode. Cerebrospinal fluid Na(+) levels are elevated during some episodes, which could hint at this (these are usually discovered when someone goes to the ER and says they're having an abnormal migraine---a spinal tap is performed to check for meningitis).

A precursor for suspected Ca(2+) flux could be partially dictated by hormones. Anecdotally, I once tried a beta-17 estradiol patch and it interrupted the migraine episode for just a little over a day (pretty much, the halflife of the estradiol patch). When the patch expired, the migraine returned.

We know that serum testosterone and estrogen do play a role in regulating Ca(2+) as their decline over time in men and women can result in osteoporosis (the body breaking down whatever calcium it can to maintain homeostasis of Ca(2+) in the bloodstream).

These are conversations that need to be had with endocrinology, though.

Anywho... just a thought.

THIS EVENING... I'm interviewing Richard David Smith III (RDS3) about his insane family road trip from hell, travelling coast to coast.

It involves Vegas, crime scenes, dodging bullets, near death experiences, and certain high strangeness. At one point, he was even in a coma.
