You guys thought I was pulling your leg before, dincha. ;)
Quote“Many so called natural vitamins are made from horrible substances. All the vitamin B-12, cyanocobalamin, on the market is made from either ground up toxic cow livers or activated sewage sludge. These cow livers are overloaded with steroids and antibiotics, and the pesticides the cow assimilates while eating. The sewage sludge is just that, fecal matter. In today’s environment of depressed immune diseases I can think of hundreds of reasons that these materials would be a health risk, not benefit. Just because a so-called natural substance (fecal matter is natural ) is high in a particular vitamin, does that also mean it is a good food?
That comes from here

The good part about that article is it gives you the alternatives that your body can handle and assimilate.

last week the open lines where a decent hearing, hell even barfly called in lol
Yes, BarFly's call was awesome. He was pretty tired when he called in too. He asked Hoagy what haircare products he used. Haogy replied "none". He asked RCH to wish Sandra a happy BirthDay. RCH replied "No... I don't know her..."

True.
Plus Mars could have been the moon of a larger planet named Kingu.

do hurricanes even happen on a planet like mars?
Can't have a hurricane without water. BTW - Richard, a vortex that forms over land instead of water is called a tornado.

Keith Laney
Keith Laney is the exception to the general rule that the loonies have no clue. Laney does have genuine expertise in image processing, and has even done some commendable work enhancing JPL images. He hosts the Hidden Mission Web Forum, which is frequented mainly by rednecks who don't believe anything that comes out of NASA, JPL, Arizona State University (whose School of Earth and Space Exploration does the data processing for LRO), and most particularly Malin Space Science Systems and its head Michael Malin. Malin enrages the HMF crowd because his company designs most of the cameras used by JPL and it's believed that he gets first dibs on tampering with all the images as he pleases.
Laney concocted an elaborate fairy tale about the Apollo 17 mission, which he called A Hidden Mission for Apollo 17. This text was stolen by inspired Mike Bara to write a similar yarn in his silly book.
Keith Laney may be expert at image editing but he knows so little about space mission management that he actually believes spacecraft controllers deliberately cause failures of their own missions (we're not making that up, folks.) In July 2015, after the Dawn and New Horizons missions both suffered computer glitches that were rapidly resolved, Laney wrote:
"looks to me like both Dawn and New Horizon teams have been given a warning. I'm so sick of these clods stifling what we get to see and know... they would rather cause the crafts to malfunction and fail than allow us to know what they're really seeing."
The rational wiki ? ;)

OK, just kicked the stream back on. Did these guys do some lines of coke or something ?
They gotta be passing around something.
Dick sounds like he's talking with something in his mouth -  like a shit salesman with a mouth full of samples.

He could've given her a shout out.  His excuse was bullshit.  He knows the people here jumped on his bandwagon from day one.
Yah...
We all called BS at the time too. I'm glad BarFly called in. it just cemented the fact that Dick is a dick.
He had a hell of a good thing going here, following Arts' show, he couldn't have asked for a better time-slot with a carry over of listeners.

Boy, did he screw things up.

I blame Darth Sandra.  Hoagie clearly resents her.
All this could have been avoided with a quick "Happy Birthday". ;)

Wow...I've reached a new low.  I'm here, eating pumpkin seeds and drinking vodka tonics.  Not so bad eh?  I just pissed out of my window.  Bathroom is 10 feet away.
LMAO - mainly because I've done that before too. ;D

...Wow, did they pass around the 'Browns' before the show ?
Stream off - can't take it. Not worth the bandwidth.

Well....I liked the show.  Art was 100% on his game.  Cody disappointed a little because I know he is more than what you heard.  Regardless I think this was a good show.  Having a brand new guest was refreshing.  We need more of that.  ;)
Same here. Yah, a bit to focused on fecal material and cannibalism, but I thought it was a good change up. Wish he would have talked a bit more about specific survival situations. Art was in good form and sounded like he was having fun.

Hi Gabsters. Are you surviving the show? Having internet problems so this will probably be my only post tonight. Living in Mexico is survivalist enough for me  :-\
Hi TigerLily. :)

One of the sewage-treatment places around here sells composted stuff as fertilizer.  It's not uncommon throughout the world.
Not only that, but most vitamin supplements are made from reclaimed sewage sludge. Especially the B vitamins.

Did anyone see/watch Alone on the History Channel?  I've been listening to what Cody was saying about the other shows but I think Alone was pretty legit.  No camera crew (the participants were given cameras), they each had a sat phone solely for the purpose of calling the producers to come get them outta there, each got to choose 10 implements (is that the right word?) and were each given a few basic things.  My best friend works in the movie biz and he's the one who told me about it because even he thought it was the real deal (and he's worked on "reality" spots so knows first hand what bullshit they are).  So, just curious if anyone one here watched it.
Yes, I've seen a couple of episodes. I think it started w/ 12 people and was down to 7 after 2-3 days. It was OK, but the peeps really had no wilderness survival skills for the particular climate. They thought they did, but they were dropped in the Pacific NorthWest (I think.) Everything was constantly wet. Horrible conditions if you don't know how to handle them. The shelters were basic. Don't know if they weren't allowed to build decent ones or just didn't know how. They were ill prepared to handle the situation they were dropped into. One dude had to deal w/ a black bear nosing around the camp and sticking it's nose into the tent fabric - at night.
