I'm in the who cares camp.  It's just another dumb show that may or may not make it.  It makes more sense to care about the future of C2C than MITD.  At least there's some history there.  This is just a mediocre flash in the pan show.  Don't waste your energy either way.

That's a thing that some people do to sound more relatable.  It's kind of like saying "where ya going" instead of "where are you going" or to a lesser degree "gonna" instead of "going to."  Politicians do this a lot (aka Palin) so their audience thinks they're one of the people.  I don't think it's rehearsed as much as it's a mostly subconscious shift that people employ to get people to sort of like them or even agree with them. 

It kind of reminds me when Hilary Clinton morphs into Al Sharpton if she's talking to a black audience.  Or Mitt Romney suddenly becoming a good ol bot when he crosses the Mason/Dixon line.  To me, it's one of those things that people tend to do when they want to be liked.  I listen to Marc Maron every once in a while and he transforms into a NYC Jew when he's interviewing people from the north east and then suddenly morphs back into himself when someone like Judd Apatow comes on.  It's really interesting.  I have a sister in law that used to put on a fake New England accent for no apparent reason because her dad is from Connecticut even though she is not.  She apparently befriended a group of people from somewhere up there and started pronouncing things like them overnight.  I really don't know what causes it.
