Quote from: SciFiAuthor on January 21, 2016, 01:52:30 AMPanspermia? Or what's the word when we try to make sense of something alien by making it into something we are familiar with?
Yeah, but that begs the question of why would they look like insects that evolved on earth?
Quote from: akwilly on January 21, 2016, 01:51:24 AMTea pee
I couldn't keep up, I mean I might be an alcoholic and all but this is rediculous.

Now, see, that's not right. There's no reason why they would look like so much like us. A grey looks like a person. That's one of the reasons why they are so disturbing. But there's not real reason why they should look anything like us. They'd need certain biological capabilities in order to develop technology, but general appearance isn't one of them.
Quote from: GravitySucks on January 21, 2016, 01:45:57 AMOh. Oh
I think an SBC like a rasbperry pi coupled with a gps engine and what ever interface you need to captiyre the signals would be a low cost low power solution. The raspberry pincould do some very basic data analysis, correlate the location with gps and the create data packets to transmit across ghe internet. Since you are working with gps time stamps, the daya could be analyzed in a central location at near-real time, and if something interesting was goind, you could do further data analysis, all correlated with the time stamps.
Quote from: akwilly on January 21, 2016, 01:37:11 AMShe has had a few good ones in the last few weeks. It requires a good guest. She can't wing it with a poor one and a long way from handling open lines. Which I know must really be a huge challenge
This is the best show so far too me
Quote from: The King of Kings on January 21, 2016, 01:31:50 AMThey know if you're worth noticing.
So Shadow People and UFO's are like Santa Clause? They know when you have been good or bad, so be glad for goodness sake!
Quote from: swordpoint9 on January 21, 2016, 01:22:03 AMOh.
LOL My story is what I meant .
. Yes. It's amazing and really happened???
Quote from: The King of Kings on January 21, 2016, 01:21:19 AMYour trolling history. However, you seem to be evolving.
I have never had a paranormal experience or seen an UFO.
WTF is wrong with me. Why am I not good enough for shadow people or UFO's to show themselves to me.

The Master Butcher

You would hate the backstory of mein teil . the butchermaster !
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 21, 2016, 12:37:47 AMYep. Takes a lot to disgust and creep me out but that did. Loved the Hannibal tv series. Nothing like it on tv before. Deep, dark, brutal artistic
The only way to enjoy your own liver!
Did you ever see the sequel where he was feeding the guy's brain to him at dinner?
Quote from: Chronaut on January 21, 2016, 12:29:38 AMDon't know. Never read it.
I've always wanted to get hold of his early work, to hear how he grew. But I think he may have started so young, in his teens from what I gather, that he was probably pretty comfortable on the air by the time he got his first paying gig. Still, I'd love to hear the evolution. I've never heard anyone come close to his work in the mid-to-late 90's on C2C. Masterful work.
Does he talk about that kind of thing in The Art of Talk?
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 21, 2016, 12:29:14 AMWith fava beans and a nice Chianti
It can be tasty, if sliced thin enough...with some ketchup and carmalized onions
Quote from: Chronaut on January 21, 2016, 12:24:57 AMIntrospective introverts are much more interesting. But maybe not on the air
Yeah I almost forgot about that - I have a couple of friends (both of whom love to hear themselves talk btw) who can talk in front of a mic, a camera, or a group of strangers, and love every second of it. Damn I wish I was that kind of extrovert.
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 21, 2016, 12:21:34 AMHe will eat your liver. For starters. Praise Cthulhu
This Cthullhu sounds like a fun-loving sorta guy
Quote from: Chronaut on January 21, 2016, 12:18:58 AMIt would be interesting to hear how Art sounded when he first started out. But there are some that seem incapable of improving. (Dave)
I've done a dozen pre-recorded podcasts with a good friend of mine, in the comfort of my home over the last 9-10 months, and it still doesn't have the fun, natural spontaneity of our conversations when we're chatting freely at the cafe. It's frustrating. If I could forget about the damn headset, it would sound so much better. I'm just hoping that after 100 more episodes I'll be able to really relax. I really think it takes hundreds of hours of practice to reach that first step.
Quote from: Taco Bell on January 21, 2016, 12:12:51 AMStill weird accent. Sorry. Didn't mean to defame your territory
Being from the northern Midwest, I can confirm she does not talk like our kind.
Quote from: Chronaut on January 21, 2016, 12:08:39 AMIt has to be really difficult
I think it's a lot like acting: it looks so easy when it's done well. But then when you have a camera on you, suddenly you feel like a complete idiot. That phase would pass pretty quickly if she felt like she was talking to friends / friendly listeners, but she's been dumped on so hard that it's a miracle she hasn't cracked completely. She's earned my respect for enduring the horrendous abuse of the last few weeks.
Quote from: swordpoint9 on January 21, 2016, 12:07:11 AMHey sw
Hey Folks , I am late what have I missed ?
Quote from: GravitySucks on January 21, 2016, 12:04:11 AMJust wormholed Heather on this. Passive radar thing. Not tracking her down thing
If we had Peter Davenport's passive radar we could find her.
Quote from: brig on January 20, 2016, 11:51:34 PMVery good description. In time she will probably get more comfortable IF not hounded off the air
Heather was great to listen to and talk to on the gabcast. Just free form talking between bellgabber friends. In fact, I think she was the first bellgabber I talked to on the air. She made me feel very welcome. But in this type of setting, she reminds me of LMH, who always sounds like she's reading her notes, and cant quite read most of her own writing. That's the best I can describe it, and it's just my own impression.
Quote from: pate on January 20, 2016, 11:44:59 PMShould email Hoaxie
Not to derail, but I just remembered reading this article this morning:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3408500/It-super-primal-sexual-experience-Group-women-make-extraordinary-claim-hybrid-children-fathered-ALIENS-live-giant-spaceships-say-best-sex-ever.html
I think Hoag should get some of these fine ladies on his shoe tonight/tomorrow morning, would be a perfect bolo-tie in to this show. It'd be classic, sigh, if only everyone was on the same page...
Quote from: comaphobe on January 20, 2016, 11:44:50 PMThat's the weird drawl she has. Northern Midwest. Maybe where she's from but she has said a few things that make me think she's in the. I.E. somewhere
what the fuck did i think i heard last week then? and why does she sound like the great lakes?
