It was nice to hear you.  And nice to finally know what your avatar is.   :)

LOL...I'm glad someone actually asked! Newbies are treated rather well...guess that was one of the main points of tonight's show considering there will probably be a lot more new folks joining before July 20! A new frontier!
#17192
Aldous...are you still going to Rush in Phoenix in July?

Heck, yeah.  Just stay out of the politics thread and all is good.

Absolutely! Ok, here is the culmination of every political argument in the US...You Democratic Communist!...You Republican Fascist!...F#$% You!...NO, F#$% You!... There really is no reason to read or listen to political debates!  Same old rehash! :)

Art should do a show about these bizarre sounds that have been coming from the sky all over the Earth for the last 10 years!

People are funny, they either love or hate something like Mel's hole, But they sure do remember it a Decade later. The good ones evoke strong emotions of one kind or another. One thing for sure, you only get that sort of thing in open lines because it would never make it past a Producer or for that matter a call screener. Not everything has to make it past the cold reality test, what fun would that be? If that is what you want try PBS.

Art

Said perfectly Art! As a chemist I know I would bore people to death talking about my work!

This is actually the first time I am doing squirrel.  I love rabbit.  These little bastards have been feeding off my heirloom avocado tree.  Bastards are fat.
I picked them off with an airgun at 20 feet.  Open sights.  Head shot, right behind the eye.  You know what they say about one Marine and his rifle.

Nice...those do the trick on small game..we did a lot of bird hunting too...shotgun prefferabe for that...even a badass marine might starve hunting birds with an air gun!

mmmmmm.  That does sound good!  There's the oven timer!  Squirrel is done!  Yummo!

We hunted and ate squirrel when I was a kid...the grays were more tender than the red!  My Springfield 410 was perfect for the job!  However I prefer rabbit by a mile!

Forgo an unsatisfying 30 minutes in the champagne room and do some charitable work here.

Guess I was thinking more on the lines of the satisfying version...anyway I'll donate a little to MV n Bellgab for the family fun entertainment!

This one has a somewhat more subtle approach. It sometimes posts links or quotes from articles degrading to Art .. but intersperses those with benign links and pics -- between calling us sycophants or worse. As indicated by its uncanny ability to post links and pics -- original thoughts are foreign... insults many.. indignation common as its pseudo-intellect.

Just an FYI -- don't be baited. Been there done it. Done.

I've noticed that.

Some of the folks called it, Art! You are just a stand up guy with the last guest that didn't make your DM show! Good on ya! Can't wait till July 20!

"Academia is no more than cultural politics, and fields like archaeology, astronomy, physics, and the rest are no more than academic fields."

You sound drunk by the end of the sentence. I will address the first run-on sentence. Archaeology, astronomy, physics, biology, chemistry, biology are real sciences. We don't need any more of the "pseudo-scientists" that Art Bell has provided over the last 25 years. They offer promise but never deliver. Jesus H., I've heard 2000+ Art Bell shows with his "experts" telling him what will happen, but it's all bullshit because it NEVER happened.

Enough! Time for a new show if he can provide it with new guests.

I think this might be Penn Jillette?

Well helllo everyone!

Hey, has anyone been able to pick up WTWW 5085khz after dark?

http://wtww.us/pages/schedule.php

They might not have any shows yet, as it states "to be announced"...I tuned into the other frequencies and was able to listen rather clearly here in Tucson...

I. I worship no man. He is a media personality and public figure and will be called out on the carpet accordingly.

Art has already stated he is mixing old and new...which is what most fans would want in my opinion...he might be keeping them close to the vest has Dave poached and threatened to black list many during the DM launch...

How can you be a fan of Art or Coast To Coast then? The majority of things they cover can be thoroughly debunked.  Hancock doesn't claim that his ideas are fact, unlike the majority of the ancient alien crowd.

Reality suspension always made Art's shows more enjoyable!

Hancock isn't a big proponent of the ancient alien theory. He just believes that ancient civilizations were far more advanced and intelligent than most people think. He has even mentioned that he doesn't believe in the ancient alien theories.

True. I should have clarified people's interest in antients being more technologically advanced than we may have thought...

To me, these shows are about the power of suggestion and the desire to believe more than anything else.

I'd like to hear a program where they play the recording before saying what it is we are supposed to be listening for.

I'd love to hear a show where they played their recordings and never did say what it was we were supposed to be hearing, just let listeners guess and wonder about it.  I think radios would be turned off all over the country if they were to do that

Months worth of them out getting recordings, distilled down to a dozen of 'the best' to play on Coast, and maybe one of them sounds like something.  Maybe

I can't speak to MV's recordings since I haven't heard them, perhaps he should play some on the GabCast.

If I remember Art did that once with GIS...it was more interesting for sure!
