George got 30 goats for her, but no worries - the SPCA has already rescued them

Wendy's wedding from the C2C website.  No recording of George croaking out his rendition of It's A Small World...

It is certainly curious, does "Red Eye" now see itself as the heir to C2C?

Somebody needs to break the news to Ross that his move was lateral at best.

Anything not Noory seems like a step in the right direction.  Not that I'm going to listen to Red Eye either.

Ross was fortunate to work elsewhere and not be tied too closely to Coast.  With the team effort in ruining the show, working for the industry laughingstock, I'm not sure anyone else on George's staff could or should be able to find another job in radio again.

and after Noory's comment he and the guest got into a totally off topic discussion of those dog breeds extreme shedding problems.
Noory - the topic was supposed to be about cats, not dogs...

George still lives in Art Bell's shadow.  Someone on his staff noticed people used to like to hear Art talk about his cats once in awhile and told George to do the same, so we get stories about Casey the dog, about George walking out on dates with beautiful women that didn't like animals, George giving pets to friends, etc.

George is bored, only half listening.  He heard 'dog' and remembered his cue to talk about his love for dogs.  My guess is the only time he likes dogs is when they are in a cage and being teased.

Fuck the stupid Titanic, fuck zombies, and fuck Twitter.

Yeah, but what is your position on comic books, DB Cooper, and men trapped in the bodies of horses?

Wow, she (Lady Die) must be desperate, to be thinking that Noory is "to die for"?   :o

The most recent lunch with Warren Buffett was auctioned off for $2.3 million.  George has to be wondering why lunch with a world famous celebrity investigator and journalist closing in on the mysteries of life can possibly be so much less than lunch with a stuffy older businessman.  For fun, they should see what they could get for lunch with Art Bell.

I'm thinking Lady Die is Tommy running the bid up.  Hope he gets it.

haha, Noory just heard the word "dog" and responded to that...  :o

Yet another display of show prep, general knowledge, interest in the topic, and the courtesy of listening when the guests are speaking.

I thought I heard him say he's going back to LA after this weekend, then shortly after that, he'll go to Hawaii....

How many times over several years now has he said it's almost done and he's going in a month or so?

Even if he does go to Hawaii and manages to fit a show or two into his busy schedule, pretty sure it's just going to be from an existing studio of an affiliate.
#19029
And how is it his buddies like Alex Jones and Richard C aren't congradulating George on his escape from the kidnappers and playing up the story the way they usually would?  Shouldn't there be commentary, entire shows, speculating about the Bilderburghers or the Shadow Government types or at least the rogue elemets in NASA panicking and orchestrating this event in an attempt to shut George down?  This story has no 'legs' at all, it's almost as if even his friends don't believe him.

How about the Feds - wouldn't they want to talk to George, maybe send an FBI profiler out to get a little information on what to look for and tips from George on how to recognize and escape a foreign kidnapping?  Why hasn't George shared anything from these meetings?  Seems like he would.

Noory mentioned he is taking yet another Friday night off - giving us another 3day Noory-Free weekend now. :)

Any sign of George broadcasting from thuh new studio they are building him in Hawaii?  Still just right around the corner?

I know George has a lot going on - daughters wedding, auctioning himself and some used dishes off for dinner, taking precautions in case the cartels are still out looking for him, providing the Ancient Aliens show with the knowledge and wisdom he's picked up over the decades...  But if PremRat spent all this time and money trying to please him with a new studio, he should certainly use.it.

It's up to $550 now, and includes a set of Platinum 21pc Cookware, from some scammy multi-level marketing outfit. Even when he tries to do something decent, he can't help but crap it up.

George would do anything to just get a date.  I hope someone takes him home and robs him.

If you're a single woman or a gay man, you can buy George Noory at a charity auction. You'll enjoy a romantic dinner with George at Burbank's Annie Morton's Steakhouse and take-home a fabulous 21-piece cookware set, too! While auctioneers can't guarantee you'll get lucky after dinner, chances are pretty good that the youthful Noory - with his new P90X bod - will ravish you right on the table.

Bidding is up to $500 so hurry before people realize that wasn't really a date with Bashar al-Assad they were trying to win and start to retract their bids.

Hmmm, $500 to pretend to like George and pump him for insider information during dinner, then tell him he sucks and smear a piece of pie in his face for desert.  Walk away with a nice set of pots and pans...

When a relevant topic comes up, I ask friends and co-workers if they've ever heard of George Noory.  To date no one I've asked has.  Not one.  When I say Coast to Coast, they've either not heard of that either or mention Art Bell.  Just about everyone knows who Rush Limbaugh, Don Imus, Howard Stern, Dr Laura, Sean Hannity, etc are.  They may not like them, they may never have heard the shows, but they know the names.

The name Noory always draws a blank.  How I envy them.  I doubt very much he has anything near the audience he claims.  Maybe this post should be on thread documenting Noory's dishonesty.

this might partly explain why Noory is still working when he clearly doesn't want to be. maybe he lost his shirt in some poorly executed business. it seems like everyone wants to start a restaurant but it's a tough business if you don't know it inside and out

Not just any poorly executed restaurant idea.  The Cafe Marrakesh and Oasis Bar theme apparently revolved around a fictional Englishman named Col.  William Berry who opened a restaurant following an exciting secret mission to Marrakesh.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3190/is_v21/ai_4607775/

In addition to 'knowing' someone in the restaurant business, George probably told his investors that he's had 50 years of eating experience and knew what would draw ratings, er, customers...  Someone should call in and say their name is Col Bill Berry fresh back from the Sahara...

I like the stories about George dealing with the vermin around him.

The time he came back to LA from St Louis and his home was swarming with flies.  Turned out there was a dead squashed squirrel under his bed.  He wondered how it got there.

The time he came back to St Louis from LA, opened his barbeque and found a bunch of ants all over the inside moving their eggs around.

The time his hampster had babies and his father stomped them to death in his bare feet.

And I just gotta include the one where his downstairs bathroom was not usable and his date had to come in and use the one upstairs off the master bedroom.  He'd been up there earlier using his dissection kit to clip his nails or something and had left it out.  She saw it laying out, screamed, came running and crying down the stairs, ran outside, he never saw her again.

Alex Jones clocks in at #85.  Helps explain his need to be Noory's friend.

Ian and Margery are listed alphabetically along with the rest of the 101-250.   Seems like they were somewhere around about #15-25 last time around?

The most absurd was the time he had some new age-ey type on and she started talking about unicorns.  Always ready to seize on a chance to creepily hit on a younger woman, George pipes in about how he used to give unicorn figurines out to people when he was a kid.

The major media won't give Black the platform he needs to get the truth out.  News media has shifted to major corporate ownership since the S&L scandal in the 80s and it filters news info accordingly.  Every time I hear some poor ill-informed sucker who's swallowed the line that FNMA/FHLMC rules for low income mortgages caused the 2008 looting of the economy by Wall St, I want to scream.  The Bush WH and Congress knew exactly what was happening years in advance of the collapse, and did everything they could to make even easier for the banking pirates to fleece the whole country...

The reason we keep hearing that the Bush Administration saw Freddie and Fannie's business model was broken, proposed new regulations to remedy the situation, and were stopped cold by Barney Frank and the House Financial Services Committee in Congress, is because it has the advantage of being true.

Here in my local area, I recall an almost constant outpouring of accusations of racism, threatened litigation, and tons of bad press from ACORN, et. al. demanding high risk borrowers be given loans on overpriced homes they ended up not being able to afford, and the local banks caving due to that pressure.

It becomes confusing when that is lumped with the looting by Wall Street.  Note that Wall Street didn't write themselves checks from the Treasury.  Those bills were passed by Nancy Pelosi's and Harry Reid's House and Senate, some were signed by Bush, some by Obama.  Under Obama, Fed chief Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Tim Geitner worked together to pump more money into the financial system, straight out of the Fed and bypassing the Congress.  Not to mention the Obama multi-Trillion Dollar annual deficits - I'd consider those to also be 'looting'.

I'm guessing Knapp and his guest didn't spend much time discussing any of this?

By the way, does anyone think George truly believes he was a victim of an attempted kidnapping in Mexico recently?  Does his staff, do fellow PremRat employees and friends like Alex Jones and Richard C?

Ok, by now George has probably talked himself into believing it, and Alex and Richard would apparently at least claim to believe anything dark and sinister anyone reported, but I think if kidnappers in Mexico wanted Noory, he' be kidnapped.

When a guest or caller state that George is a great investigator or great journalist, and George just sits there quietly and let's it stand.  A lie by omission on his part.

can you name even one lie george noory has told?

Where to start.  How about 'I do 8 hours of prep work for each show, then I come on the air and do 4 more hours'.  Followed up with having Lisa Lyings sending out emails in responnce to complaints that George is the hardest working man in radio.

If any of that is true then he may as well stop, because the show sounds like he walks in completely cold just about every single night.

You make an excellent point. I had forgotten that indeed George was better when he was hustling for the job. You have discovered the answer to the question, "Why does George suck so bad?" And it does no honor to George that he's been mailing it in since he signed his first multi-year contract.

And I think George has been turning it up a notch - unfortunately for him all that consists of is him reading these "canned " questions at inopportune moments that he's been doing the last couple of months or so.

George has been doing the show from cue cards much longer than a few months.

George continues to get worse gradually, but over the years the further Art Bell seemed to get from coming back and the less he came around as a fill in host, the less George decided he had to worry about and the worse he seemed to get.   His laziness in preparing, his disinterest in the topics just shine through now.  No way would he have been singing and doing sound impressions if he thought Art Bell was anywhere around and available to come back.

Ian can still put out a decent show, but he used to be so much better.  Hard to say why he got meaner and even more self absorbed, or at least why he's so much more in-your-face with it now - maybe it was the Steve Quayle interview and the forced apologies, maybe as George worsened Ian was less careful and allowed his true self to come out more, maybe he just did a little better the more Art was around too.

Noory just declared over tonight's C2C show that he is "always preparing for the show."    ???
Really, George?   You actually preparing for the show?    >:(

Walking into the studio promptly at 10pm with no idea what the show is going to be about is one thing.  If George really thinks about the show *all* the time, and truly spends his days working at it - well, of course he doesn't, but if he did - he is dumber and just plain all around worse than we even suspect.

Of course I am generalizing somewhat.  And I admit that I have had moments where I really liked and respected what comes out of his mouth...

Yes welcome.  Do you have any examples of moments where you liked and respected what George said?

Now, I have a question, and I may have misinterpreted why he was replaced and who relieved him of his position...

I still think this was a Team Noory operation.  This has George's pettyness, ego, and paranoia all over it.

Why would a radio station that has carried Coast all along stop an employee from doing announcements just because they no longer carry the program?  Why intentionally create bad will with PremRat, and with their own employee?  Isn't it common for people in the industry do outside deals, commercials, voiceover work, etc?   Ross's contract with his station probably even allows him to do so and specifically lists C2C as one of his clients.

Especially when the show isn't about yellin' and screamin'.  Regardless of topic or what anyone says, George mostly sits by passively waiting to go to commercial break.

I can picture George having that round table discussion show, interrupting when he shouldn't and not interrupting when he should.  As usual.
